Did you know May 5th, commonly referred to as Cinco de Mayo, is not Mexican Independence Day? May 5 actually commemorates the Mexican Army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.

Did you know May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage month? We want to recognize and honor the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the culture, history, and achievements of the US.

Don’t let your negative thoughts win Bluehose! If you constantly say you’re going to fail your exams…chances are you probably will. Believe in yourself as much as we believe in you. ☀️

It’s grind time Bluehose. Set aside any distractions and let’s study study study!!!📚 Remember, do not study in your room. It’s too easy to start watching tv or take a nap. Go to the library or an empty classroom and get to work. We know you can finish the semester strong! 💪
Tomorrow, Wednesday April 27, @presbyfirstgens will host their virtual panel “First-Gen Professionals: Navigating Life After College.” Even if you aren’t first-gen, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Please email skeene@presby.edu to for the meeting link.
Happy Monday! Let’s study hard for our finals and finish the semester strong.

Never wait until the last minute to start an assignment, otherwise you may be submitting work you know isn’t your best. Start on assignments as early as possible so work doesn’t build up and you’re rushing to get everything done.

Check on Brightspace to see if your professor uploads any PowerPoint or notes ahead of class. If you review the material before class you'll be able to focus more on what they are saying and not just scrambling to take notes.
Happy Motivation Monday Bluehose. In case you forgot you matter. You belong here, your feelings are valid, and we care about you.
