The months-long people-powered #StopTheGame campaign is calling on Ireland to refuse to play genocidal Israel in its UEFA Nations League matches.
The matches shouldn't be happening at all.
But here's what that campaign helped make happen:
From players to trade unions, to athletes, to sport personalities, to broadcasters and radio programs, to pubs, to parliament members, to Palestine solidarity groups, the #StopTheGame campaign kept Israel's genocide in Gaza and apartheid rule over Palestinians center field.

During yesterday’s Austria v Israel UEFA Nations League match, Amnesty International held a banner reading “End Genocide.”
The match shouldn’t have taken place at all.
As Amnesty International stated: "It’s unconscionable that the Israel men’s football team will participate in the UEFA Nations League this autumn despite clear evidence that Israel’s football association continues to support illegal settlements."
Dozens of pubs in Ireland and around the world are pledging not to show the Ireland vs genocidal Israel UEFA Nations League matches.

NFL football player Azeez Al-Shaair wore the name of Wafaa Akila before yesterday’s match between the Houston Texans and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Wafaa Akila, an 8-year-old Palestinian child, was killed by Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza on Sept 6, her first day of school.
NBA star Kyrie Irving offered to cover the fine.
Last season, Al-Shaair wore a Stop the Genocide message. The NFL shamefully fined him for this universal message of humanity.
