You are such a moron, you haven’t run a balanced budget in a decade and you’re blaming the RBA for the runaway inflation your deficit spending has structurally engendered in the economy. Do us all a favour and resign already
Today's decision by the RBA was widely expected, but that doesn't make it any easier for families and businesses. It's difficult news for many Australians who are already paying a hefty price for circumstances outside their control. We take responsibility for our part of the fight against inflation, which is why we're finding savings at the same time as we roll out relief.

A despicable new low in Australian politics. I sat with Helen Haines on the cross-bench. Although we disagreed on many issues, she was always professional and a thoroughly decent person to work with. The kind and respectful words being said about her by many are 100% correct. Her criticism of Albanese’s corrupt rorting over the Marrickville Golf Club affair was absolutely correct. She was doing her job, holding the government of the day to account, and standing up for her electorate, who missed out on the largesse of that corruption. And remember, this wasn’t any ordinary rort — Albanese personally benefited from it, owning a property in the same street — and then he attempted to mislead parliament over it. Many politicians have been forced to resign over much less. And for that, it’s reported that our despicable Prime Minister decided upon revenge — that Helen Haines needed to be punished — to set an example to other cross-benchers: criticise Albanese, and they’ll come after you with a dirt file. And think about the timing: Albanese had his minions compile a dirt sheet on Helen Haines and released it in the media at the very same time they were finalising legislation to give the government the power to create false and fictitious “sock puppet” identities to disseminate government propaganda. The revenge attack — the releasing of a dirt sheet on Helen Haines — demonstrates that the Albanese regime is unfit to have such powers. And then there’s the sickening rank hypocrisy — Albanese calling for a “lowering of the temperature” and to “turn down the temperature” — this from a government that has vilified anyone who questions their economic policies as a “climate denier,” using the term “denier” to equate them to a Holocaust denier. And anyone who says importing a million people in two years is too many is vilified as a “racist". And anyone who opposes Albanese’s socialism is vilified as a “far-right extremist". What an absolutely disgraceful and disgusting government we are living under.

This is pretty bad. Another once highly regarded Australian institution found to be cooking the books for reasons up to your imagination... "The audit also found that at Sydney Observatory, maximum temperature adjustments were positive in every year from 1910 to 2020, amounting to 110 years of one-way changes with no net cooling adjustment applied." “These are not subtle statistical anomalies; they are obvious patterns of human intervention that should have been flagged by any competent quality control system,” Mr Berger said. Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes. One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico? After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials. After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up. This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws. BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked. Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists. I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation. After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions. So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
The government today will introduce sweeping censorship that @AlboMP & @AnikaWells lie about. Below she claims the government wants to create a bot army of fake accounts for “research” when the bill clearly intends for them to be used in partisan warfare against fooled citizens.

Well, that was wild. I'm at the Australian Parliament and just left a meeting with two staffers for the governing party. They told us that the government needed more power to censor things like the upcoming US execution of Nidal Hasan. When I asked why they needed to censor that video, one said it was to prevent copycat killings. Copycat killings by governments? I asked. Er, no, they said. Copycat killings like of a backpacker, several decades ago. So, under that logic, I pointed out, the government should censor things like last year's Bondi massacre, where two Muslims killed 15 people, no? Well, that was news, they said. Didn't they realize their bill would allow the government to censor news? They didn't seem to know, or care. They also admitted that they did not know that the bill would allow the government to create and operate an unlimited number of fake social media accounts to attack its political enemies and spread disinformation. Having presented them with information they had never heard about a bill they had clearly not read, they emphasized to us, strenuously, that they were moving forward with the bill. So there you have it. The government wants the power to arbitrarily censor scenes of violent crime, or violence, for any reason. And it wants the power to use an unlimited number of fake accounts to wage offensive disinformational warfare against the Australian people. Given that the Bondi massacre last year increased public opposition to mass migration, and support for the populist One Nation Party, it seems obvious that the government wants to censor such events in order to protect its political power. It's quite telling how obediently governing party members insist such a law is needed without even knowing what's in it.

Whoops! Prime Minister Albanese has accidentally exposed Labor’s real censorship agenda. He has now confirmed that the new social media “Digital Duty of Care” scheme is nothing more than a back-door attempt to resurrect Labor’s rejected Misinformation and Disinformation Bill, while boasting about it overseas to his elite globalist friends. That’s despite his own Minister for Travel Expenses and Grand Final Rorts, Anika Wells, who also doubles as Labor’s Minister for Censorship, assuring Australians just two weeks ago that it “isn’t about misinformation”. Australians are supposed to believe one story at home while Labor tells a completely different story overseas. In his own words, Albanese admits these powers are being sold under the banner of “child safety” today, while laying the groundwork for much broader controls on speech and public debate tomorrow. If there was ever any doubt that this legislation is a Trojan horse, the Prime Minister has just all but removed it. Most revealing of all, Albanese has explicitly linked the need for new censorship powers to the rise of One Nation, declaring that “People are moving away from the centre and more and more to the extremes”. In other words, Australians are abandoning Labor in growing numbers, rejecting the political establishment, and Labor's response is not to listen to them, but to seek new powers to police online debate and suppress criticism. This is what governments do when they are losing the argument. They stop defending their record and start looking for ways to control the conversation. The truth is Labor cannot tolerate Australians questioning its failures on the cost of living, housing, energy prices, migration and government waste. Instead of fixing the problems it created, it wants new powers to manage what Australians can see, hear and say online. There appears to be no limit to how far this desperate Labor Government will go to protect its grip on power. Albanese should scrap this censorship scheme immediately, stop grandstanding overseas, and get back home to deal with the crises Australians are living through every day.

Channel Nine has broadcast an interview with a Ku Klux Klan leader, seeking to link their views to One Nation. This is disgusting and a new low for the Australian media. The Ku Klux Klan is a white supremacist organisation with a long history of racial hatred, terror and violence. Yet Channel Nine sent an Australian journalist to the United States to seek them out, interview them and broadcast their views to Australians. This is extraordinary. Any suggestion that One Nation or its supporters endorse the KKK or share its ideology is absurd and offensive. There is something seriously wrong with a media organisation that believes Australians need to hear what the Ku Klux Klan thinks about Australian politics and chooses to promote those views. Channel Nine should be ashamed of itself.

Just flagrantly one of the most blatant and offensive lies I've ever seen in Australian politics in the first 30 seconds of this video. To blame Australians for the housing crisis, despite Labor bringing in literally millions of new migrants, is genuinely psychopathic.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke says “the housing shortage we have is not caused by immigration”, but because more people are choosing to live with fewer people per household. Instead, he says immigration needs to be part of the solution to the housing crisis.
