Finally, the stress of a life over everyones heads was resolving. But as Cream escorted Nine through the mirror one last time, he wavered By now, they were friends. If he was going to be a true friend to her, it would be a disservice to leave without requesting one last thing...

The treatment was complete. Back through the mirror everyone went, Nine included, and when they arrived, everyone was waiting for them, ready to initiate Cassia's care.

It was a race against the clock, but now that Surge could offer an extra set of hands, Cream began to tie her loose ends. She gifted her prism to Nine, just as promised. With his end goal of finding the version of Sonic he'd befriended and lost, he had the means to finally try.

Energy emissions, all their power combined wouldn't be enough to meet the criteria. Surge gives it a try anyways, and in doing so, displays an amount of electrical output no one could have predicted. Truly otherwordly, and exactly what they needed to get the job done.

With two of three ichor tainted now inaccessible to Anathema, she spends all her time in Cream and Surge's room, watching the mirror, waiting impatiently for their return.

No time is wasted. Surge, desperate to find her sister as soon as possible, scales the entire city, causing quite the stir. Regardless of who she had to interrogate, she knew she'd be finding Cream. Nothing would stop her.

Finally, knowing there was only so much time left to get Cassia stable, Surge sets out with the intention of finding Cream herself and figuring out what the hold up was, leaving Cheese behind as the last Ichor tainted individual of their home universe.

However, even with Nine's help, an adequate source of energy was needed to utilize the corrupted shards, and they just couldn't meet the demands. Cassia was running out of time in the safety of the restoration, and everyone back home waiting for Cream's return grew anxious.

With people still suffering inside the walls of Cream's universe's Eggman Empire, she was set on finding an interdimensional treatment for Cassia the Pronghorn's disability that was keeping her and her sister indebted to Ivo Robotnik.

Where did we leave off? At the beginning of this arc, Cream the Rabbit, now capable of using her mutations to travel to other worlds, enters the alternate universe of Nine the Fox, intending to trade her universes intact paradox prism for the corrupted shards of his own.
