Ten years to the day since the sad loss of @Munsterrugby's Anthony Foley, details of a similar tragedy emerging from La Rochelle where a @LionsRugbyCo player has been found dead in the team hotel Friday morning - again Ronan O'Gara was set to provide European Cup opposition. I don't care how good their rugby team is, Toulouse can absolutely fuck off with this team sheet graphic.

🧵1. Given the opponents and the anniversary, Munsters game this weekend should really be held in Thomond but there are factors which means it's not possible. Munster needs to maximise its commercial return and has been exploring that in Cork for a few seasons now.

4. Leinster are keeping pool games at the RDS and even the national side which finances all rugby in Ireland are struggling to sell tickets for the autumn games. What the PUC attendance does show is that apart from a one off unique event moving games isn't feasible for Munster.

5. Moving games outside Thomond or Musgrave isn't likely to be financial worthwhile. The talking heads and others who continue on with the Cork Limericking need to understand the financial realities and get behind the province not be a further distraction.

A Champions Cup stat for you. In the new era, since 2014-15, only *two* teams have won the competition having had to play an away semi-final. 1️⃣Saracens beat Munster away in 2017 2️⃣La Rochelle beat Racing away in 2022 (when Covid screwed pool rankings) #statcave @TimesSport

🔒 Locked in. From Cobh to the international stage ☘️ Edwin Edogbo has signed a new two-year contract extension, keeping him at Munster until at least 2029 🦌 #SUAF 🔴

Big Ben in the second row. UBB scrum and maul is going to be unreal. Thoughts and prayers for Gloucester pack. #HousePrivateFamilyFlowersOnly

1. Donal Lenihan once again making a show of himself in the Examiner, questioning why Munster were so slow to give Charlie O'Shea his chance. He also asks why Munster are signing overseas players before going on to suggest Munster sign overseas players.

2. Donal has been at the centre of the Cork Limericking going on within the province, so much so that the CEO had to an interview with the Examiner to explain how much shit Donal was talking and refute his points with facts.

3. Maybe Donal would be better off getting on board and behind the province, calling on more people to attend this weekends game in PUC because at the moment it could be the last if the attendance isn't big enough. Donal needs to stop this continued pissing into the tent.

If he has adjusted his technique I wonder if that's part of the work Dave Alred has been doing since the 6Ns or is this on advice from Johnny Sexton as national kicking coach.
Sam Prendergast seems to have re-invented his kicking motion Doesn't look nearly as fluid as it used to

I said during the summer that McMillan was on a 3 year project. Munster win that game tonight with a stronger bench (Milne, Edogbo, Barron etc) but with the likes of Clien, Foy, COS, BOD, EOC etc getting game it puts them in a stronger position working towards that 3 year goal
