🔏SilverScript v1.0.0 is out! Announcement from Kaspa Discord. One of #Toccata’s central promises was a new class of native L1 applications: stateful, peer-to-peer systems built directly on Kaspa’s UTXO model. With the release of Silverscript v1.0.0, that programmability path now has its first stable high-level language and toolchain. Silverscript allows developers to write readable, typed contracts that compile directly to native Kaspa Script. No separate VM or execution environment is introduced. The resulting programs remain grounded in Kaspa’s local, verification-oriented UTXO model. The difference is substantial. A token mechanism that originally required thousands of lines of opcode-building code can now be expressed in approximately 60 readable lines of Silverscript. What began eight months ago as “CashScript with loops” has grown into a complete toolchain with portable contract artifacts, ABI support and source-level debugging. It also is a foundation for higher-level languages. Argent, currently in development, builds on it to express how multiple contracts and applications interact. Argent compiles into SilverScript contracts.
