It's been 116 years since the Atlanta Race Massacre, in which White supremacist mobs terrorized and killed dozens of Black Americans. Today, we honor not just the victims in Atlanta, but also the victims of the countless similar atrocities at the hands of white supremacy.

Thanks to @CarterCenter for inviting me to the Equitable Dinner, toward racial equality in Atlanta. Complicated, difficult discussions over Sunday fried chicken, fish, collard greens, hot sauce and iced tea in President Carter’s domain. – at Atlanta, GA
