Thailand’s king has signed a historic marriage equality bill into law making the country the first in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriage.
In his article, Sears argued that same-sex marriage would attract multinational companies, increase tourism, and enhance Thailand’s global reputation as a destination for LGBTQ+ individuals.
With national policies in line with its LGBTQ-friendly image, Thailand would secure significant economic benefits, including foreign investment and stronger talent retention.
