The crowd closed in, the agents got boxed in, and the woman slipped away. Impeding a federal officer is a crime under 18 U.S.C. § 111, punishable by up to 8 years in federal prison. That law is supposed to mean something. California is home to about 2.3 million illegal aliens, the most of any state, according to Pew Research. Nationally, FAIR puts the net cost of illegal immigration at more than $150 billion a year. Multiply that by 10x to get a real number for California. And Mullin, afraid of bad headlines, won't let ICE agents use pepper spray on rioters who refuse to back up. It's sad. No one should have to work like this.
