What an Epic moment for Osler! It was a highlight to engage with teams across our hospitals, celebrate launch day together and see the enthusiasm behind this important milestone. Well done @OslerHealth!
Our new Health Information System, Epic, is here! 🎉
This past Saturday morning, leaders and teams from across Osler counted down and Epic went live across the entire health system.
This exciting digital transformation will help us create a more connected care experience across our hospitals, while providing patients with one secure health record across Osler and Ontario hospitals.
Behind this milestone are months of preparation, with our patients at the heart of it all. Congratulations and thank you to every Osler team member whose dedication and collaboration made this momentous achievement possible.
Over the last 50 years, Library Services has evolved at Osler.
From the early days of holding a primarily a physical space for books and journals, Osler libraries, and the Medical Library team, specifically, are now essential partners in knowledge management, research support, virtual education and patient care.
This evolution means that at Osler, health care professionals, researchers, and learners have access high-quality evidence from virtually anywhere, enabling faster decision-making and supporting evidence-based practice at the point of care.
Join us this month as we celebrate our incredible Medical Library Technicians!

Breast cancer screening is taking a big step forward at Osler!
We've recently welcomed two new @Hologic mammography machines to Peel Memorial, each equipped with tomosynthesis technology. With the addition of these machines, all three of Osler’s main hospital sites now offer both 2D and 3D mammography services.
The advanced 3D imaging that can detect up to 40 per cent more invasive breast cancers than standard 2D mammograms, providing clearer imaging of dense breast tissue while helping reduce patient recalls and false-positive results 👏

A huge thank you to all who came by our booth at the Brampton Farmers' Market this past weekend!
We enjoyed meeting so many of you, chatting about health care in your community and catching up with our community partners. 👋
Did you know in 2025/26 we had 1,809 newborns treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General?
September is NICU Awareness Month.
The NICU not only provides specialized and compassionate care for our littlest patients, it also helps support and empower families as they prepare for the transition home.
In celebration of NICU Awareness Month, we are recognizing our spectacular NICU teams within our Women's and Children's department, as well as the dedicated, resilient patients and families we work with, every day.
September 30 marks two important observances in Canada.
Orange Shirt Day honours Indigenous children, their families and communities, who were impacted by the residential school system.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation commemorates past and ongoing harms perpetrated on Indigenous Peoples and communities.
On this day, we are encouraged to reflect on our awareness and understanding of Indigenous Peoples’ experiences, as well as Osler’s Values of respect, compassion, and our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and truth and reconciliation.
The “Every Child Matters” flag is currently on display at Brampton Civic, Peel Memorial and Etobicoke General, in honour of Indigenous children and acknowledging the impacts of residential schools on Indigenous families and communities.
The Calder Cup paid a special visit to Osler yesterday!
Earlier this year, the Toronto Marlies became the 2026 American Hockey League Calder Cup Champions, and we are lucky enough to share a very special physician with the team.
Our Chief of Staff, Dr. Greg Rutledge, Executive VP, Medical and Academic Affairs, and team physician for the Marlies, arranged a special visit with the Cup at Brampton Civic, visiting teams across Multi-Care Kidney Clinic, Women’s and Children’s, Inpatient Oncology and more.
Hey Brampton! 👋
We’ll be at the Brampton Farmers' Market tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Swing by our booth to chat with our team, hear some exciting updates and learn more about our programs and services.
Dr. Elizabeth Liao, Osler family physician, and her twin sister Tina are Amazing Race Canada champions! 🇨🇦✨
Dr. Liao has been working at Osler since December 2021, and even earlier as a resident. She is a family physician in the Primary Care Obstetrics Group, providing obstetrics and newborn care at Brampton Civic and Women's and Children's outpatient clinics at Peel Memorial.
"The Amazing Race Canada has been a lifelong dream for my sister and me! We've been applying since Season 1. I feel so fortunate to have been casted for this season. It was truly a dream come true and exceeded all my expectations!
Working as a physician and having gone through medical training definitely helped me excel on The Amazing Race Canada - specifically, memorization skills and being able to perform under pressure!"
We are so proud of Dr. Liao and Tina - way to represent Osler! 👏
