IN MEMORIAM | Rev. Ivan DeMaster
Rev. John Shaw writes: "Rev. Ivan DeMaster, who passed into the presence of the Savior he loved on July 2... When I talked with the people in that church, they knew their pastor to be a humble man who genuinely loved the sheep. And his love for them was proved not merely in words, but especially in time with them where he listened more than he spoke. And for those reasons, when he preached, they hung on the words that came from his mouth. Ivan was a faithful Christian, husband, father, and pastor—he served four OP congregations for a total of forty-three years. He will be deeply missed by many in this life, but the church has been strengthened by his service, and we look forward to joining him one day in the presence of Jesus."

Full quote:
Jesus is coming. That's history, and that's all there is to history.
Everything else is subordinate to it, and must serve the purpose of his coming. He's coming to take his church, his redeemed people, into his presence. That's what the future is all about.
Be of good courage and strengthen your heart in the Lord your God. Cast your cares and burdens upon him.
He will bring it to pass.
