ALT Widespread beneficial rainfall is expected tonight through Thursday across the Bay Area and Central Coast. There is an image showing the total rainfall amounts. The Central Coast is expected to receive the highest amount of rainfall up to an inch to two inches. These rain amounts gradually decrease towards the North and East Bay where rain up to a tenth of an inch is expected. There is a low (less than 30%) chance for thunderstorm development over the Big Sur coast. The expected rain amounts may result in slick roadways, minor roadway flooding in poor drainage areas, as well as potential debris flows over wildfire burn scars.
