Had our first visit at an end user's office today. Incredibly useful! My brain is full of new ideas and insights. All developers should spent a day a month either using, or interacting with users of the software they work on:

Scaling is easy in the cloud, right? @Origameg talks on DotNetRocks at dotnetrocks.com/details/1816 about the limits of auto-scaling, locating bottlenecks, and doing something about them!

I'm not sure if these overly-restrictive policies come from laziness, naivete, or a clever conspiracy by the password-manager industry! 😆
Norway is like a backwards version of Westerås. It starts snowing in March, and everyone celebrates that “Winter is back!”
I've made it a goal this year to take some risks out of my comfort zone. I also need to make it a goal to stop putting unreal expectations on myself. These must go hand in hand!

A senior developer argument for pair programming: In the time it took me to review a pull request and write explanations for my issues, we could have sat together, written all of the code, and probably explained it better.

Very much enjoyed #NDCOslo! Great to meet everyone! (Now to catch up on some much-needed sleep...)

The headlined newspaper-esque layout in @PeterHilton ‘s code typography talk very much appeals to my copy editing background!

There are only two hard problems in Computer Science: cache invalidation and trying to cover "naming things" in only ten minutes! #NDCOslo
