Hot take. When I support another streamer, I don’t expect a thing. I don’t expect them to come to my channel, to gift or subscribe, or even to always notice me in their chats. I support them because I support good people that build inclusive spaces. If you support someone stop attaching expectations onto them. Support them because you want to, not because you see them as leverage.

I was fully expecting a low turnout on stream tonight since Final Fantasy 9 came out in 2000 & it was actually one of the best streams I had in awhile 🥹 Made me so happy to have so many new people come to chat & say "you're playing my favorite FF game"
I cant wait for more!!

I am calling for Twitch to amend their guidelines for multi streaming.
It is hostile towards streamers that actually want to be on your platform and be a part of the community. The phrasing is far too vague and leaves the door open for streamers to be suspended simply for engaging with external platforms more than Twitch.
More specifically, the third guideline which prohibits displaying *any* activity from third party platforms needs to be removed. The way that it is written technically makes it permissible to suspend anyone even if they are just using tipping platforms like StreamElements/Streamlabs. That's insane.
It is ridiculous to say you allow multi streaming but then ask your creators to pretend like none of the other platforms exist. We should be allowed to combine chats on screen and acknowledge our viewers that support us even if they come from other platforms.
I get that Twitch doesn't want viewers leaving for other platforms, but rules like this show that you don't even have confidence in your own platform anymore.
Finally, if you say you're going to issue people a warning beforehand, actually do that. I shouldn't have to wake up to find my account suspended out of nowhere.
And if you actually managed to stomach this cringe wall of text, please share it around. I want to actually make a difference in this space.

I personally will not buy a new @Nintendo Switch 2 unless there’s a new @animalcrossing game available for it, and then I will buy two!

Honestly fuck all of you for blaming our employees for “not doing enough”. Our team worked so hard to help us with this marathon and did their best for being put on the spot.
No means no. You’re not entitled to anybody. The fact that this man threatened our lives after being rejected while we were in a group, in public and live on stream just shows the harsh reality women live in. This happens off camera to women all the time
Seeing accounts that have harassed us for a 10 second clip of downtime during a 24/7 marathon accusing us of “just begging for subs, women do nothing” to then farming engagement from this stalker situation while we IRL stream has been so sad to see. Seeing accounts accusing my friends and I for faking this and blaming us instead of questioning the man’s behavior has been embarrassing to see. I’ve learned it doesn’t matter how much I accomplish in this industry or how much I try to gain respect, some men will hate women and blame women no matter the situation. While it may be discouraging, I hope anybody reading this does not quit doing what makes them happy because of misinformation/hate, as you can see some hate is inevitable
The clip doesn’t show the rest of what happened after we cut the camera, but I feel what was shown was important to witness. I’m so relieved we are alive and will be even more cautious and safe in the future. I hope other women and streamers learn from seeing this interaction and also be aware that this can happen to anybody, anywhere. Stay safe

Got an update on my Permanent Residency situation.
The IRCC can't find my application despite receiving a letter of acknowledgment that it was received. This is better than finding out it was denied, but that means I'll have to reapply and pay another ~$1000 in government fees-
This doesn't include the fees I'll have to pay for my lawyer. I have almost spent 5 figures throughout this whole process.
I never really outright ask for people's financial support, but if you're in the place to donate/subscribe, it would take so much stress off of my shoulders. I've been going through this battle for over 5 years now because of negligence and misrepresentation.
Thank you in advance for the support 🫶

One of the ballsiest moves I like to pull - is letting OBS install an update right before I'm due to stream. Sometimes you have to embrace absolute chaos to feel truly alive.

Next week I'm celebrating 8 YEARS of @Twitch Partnership! 🥳🎉✨
Join me at 6AM (ACST) on the 20th of July for an 18 hour stream to celebrate this massive milestone and maybe win a prize while you're at it! 💜
I got lost in a horrible rabbit hole on here for a moment and this was just the palate cleanser I needed. You’re welcome.

Here's a cool OBS trick.
Go into Settings > Advanced > File Formatting
Change from "%CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss" -> "%CCYY-%MM-%DD\%CCYY-%MM-%DD %hh-%mm-%ss"
Your OBS recordings/replay buffers now automatically create a new folder for each new day you record.
Anyone know of a script for OBS that will create a new folder with date and then save replay buffer and vods in said folder? For example, I create a clip 2 mins into stream, the folder is created and clip is saved in that folder.
Trying to automate clip/vid management.
@FiniteSingulrty, hopefully you can share some light?
