"I appreciate it."

Starts packing her off to the location circled on the map—.

"I eat the same things you do. Albeit, often for different reason."

"You act like foraging for berries and whatever else isn't part of the job."

"Not on a rainy day. You may see it as lazy but the day can be quite productive even if meditation is all that is being accomplished that day."

"And that's where we differ."

Picks her up, spins her—.

"Well, since meeting you, I've grown to take in the sights more than just going a to b. When you've reached the peaks I have, it's more about refining your mind."

"Valuing time as more than a commodity is probably why the quality of your years are more precious. Whereas there are full gaps in my memory where I know I could dismiss full decades as just training."

"Well, it's a good thing I'm not self-conscious about age. But to consider that long 'ancient history' is wild when it felt like the blink of an eye."

|| Lila is anywhere between 250-300 years old lmao. Oren live for centuries longer than most races.

"If they call you an old hag, I wonder what they'd call me, someone in their mid-200s."
