Nine days before the election, Trump endorsed Netanyahu. Not sure it'll shift anything now. What it does do is change the headlines away from settler attacks on journalists and diplomats, from his mouthpiece's race-baiting attack against his rival, and from the polls.

Israel's President, FM, IDF and police unequivocally condemned the settler attack on European diplomats in the West Bank. Only Netanyahu questioned what happened in an apparent attempt not to upset his right-wing voter base. cnn.com/2026/10/17/middleeas…

To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office: The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable. But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence. We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

Exclusive: As the Trump admin faces pressure to end the war with Iran, the US military has developed strike plans that include potentially using the so-called “mother of all bombs” to target Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites — an escalation, though sources say there are doubts over how effective it would be in actually accomplishing any of Trump’s strategic objectives. w/ @ZcohenCNN @Kevinliptakcnn cnn.com/2026/10/15/politics/…

This ... plus reality that actual penetrating munitions currently in the US arsenal also likely lack the capability to destroy facilities as deep underground as Pickaxe without some sort of additional enabling capability. When the US military used penetrating bombs against Iranian nuclear facilities last summer, they had to drop them down ventilation shafts in order to inflict damage to those underground sites.

18 minutes on @CNN with @amanpour to share @MasarJdid vision and defend our people’s right to freedom, democracy, and a dignified life. My message was clear: what was postponed was more than an election. It was an opportunity for a young generation to participate peacefully in shaping its future. We keep telling our young people that the ballot can change their lives, then the door closes again and again—making the case for democratic change increasingly difficult. I spoke about our vision: an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, freedom for Palestinians and security for Israelis, and politics that improve everyday life—so students can reach their schools, farmers their land, workers their jobs, and patients the treatment they need. From my years in prison to my years of dialogue, I learned that understanding others does not mean surrendering our rights. Building trust can open a path to achieving them. I know the depth of the anger and pain, especially in Gaza. That is why I remain committed to a path that offers our children a way out of suffering. We will continue demanding elections, working alongside our communities, and defending their right to choose their leaders and hold them accountable. Here is the full interview #MasarJadid #FromConfrontationToDialogue #PoliticsForLife

Trump last night: “Remember…your gas prices are lower than when Biden was president.” They’re only lower than they were on 76 of Biden’s 1,460 full days as president (5%). The last of those 76 was in July 2022, 29+ months before Trump was sworn back in: cnn.com/2026/10/13/politics/…

President Donald Trump's incoming White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, repeatedly made baseless accusations of pedophilia against prominent Democrats and shared conspiracy-related content, including claims that echoed the debunked "Pizzagate" theory and that Hollywood elites were pedophilic cannibals, according to a CNN KFile review of her social media posts. cnn.it/4hHrwjY

NEW: The Pentagon’s announcement that the the execution of Nidal Hasan would be live-streamed caught people across the Army and the Pentagon off guard, who are now scrambling behind the scenes to figure out how it will work. There are concerns about the psychological impacts on the soldiers and personnel tasked with overseeing it and carrying it out, and questions about if soldiers can say no. One source said a specific unit has already been chosen to carry out the execution, but that a live-stream raises risks about those service members being identified to the world. cnn.com/2026/10/10/politics/…
