At least you should be useful in the Army so that you can go fight in the bush, you can’t be a Nigerian without giving any contribution for the country

It’s funny how people package fiction like it’s national history, then act shocked when it collapses at the slightest breeze. Because let’s be honest The “let Igbos rule” line is pure emotional poetry. Nobody blocked anybody. Nigeria runs elections, not coronations. Every region has produced presidents through alliances, not entitlement. When the South East puts forward a candidate who can build a national coalition, the door is wide open. Nobody welded it shut. Politics isn’t wishful thinking; it’s numbers, structure, and strategy. Crying “you said no” doesn’t change arithmetic. “Give us the same privileges”? Sis, this country bends over for everybody. The South East has produced Senate Presidents, Army Chiefs, SGFs, CBN Governors, ministers upon ministers, economic architects, even the man who literally rewrote our banking sector. Show me the mysterious privilege denied but somehow granted to others. The facts refuse to match the script. And the “let Igbos go” part… this one always cracks me up. You can’t demand secession on Monday, collect federal allocations on Tuesday, occupy national appointments on Wednesday, trade across all borders on Thursday, then shout “free us” on Friday. If you want out, there’s a constitutional process. Nobody stopped anybody from following it. What people opposed was violent self-help disguised as liberation. The truth is simple: Nigeria isn’t saying “no” to Igbos. Nigeria is saying “no” to bad arguments. If you want power, build alliances. If you want equity, argue with facts, not fairy tales. If you want secession, follow the law, not hashtags. Stop playing victim in a story where you helped write the script.
