I mean sure, riddles and puzzles are not set out in the DMG. Along with many other things. Yes they are based around player ability not character skill, but so is... combat, a complete metagaming process in 5e.
I think riddles and puzzle suck in games btw, groaningly tiresome.

I actually do. There was a brief period where being isolated and unhappy was thought of as reasonable, something we all felt, a shared experience, didn't mark you out as a failure. Now it's back to you being a loser again.
