As a disabled person this is an insult. Putting Batgirl in glasses and having her in the Clocktower doesn't make her Oracle. Oracle is one of the only disabled superheroes DC have ever created and after a decade of ableist writing this is a slap in the face to disabled readers.

Anyway able bodied people purposefully misinterpreting disabled people to defend DC's ableism in nothing new y'all have being doing that consistently since 2011 while also speaking over and drowning out actual disabled voices.

So yeah go ahead and lie to yourself and say disabled people are being irrational or hateful or are ten years too late all it shows is that you haven't paid attenion to disabled people speaking out against DC editors, writers and artists ableism for a decade.

Disabled people deserve to see heroes like them in the comics they read and it's so far beyond imaginable that able bodied people take some sick sense of pride and joy in standing up for a company and its employees who write stories that continually erase disabled people.

Able bodied people really do think disabled people need to be fixed the really think life isn't worth living if you're not like them. There are generations of disabled people who are happy loving people, they only focus on what makes us different and see it as something shameful.

It's disability awareness/pride month and DC unveiled more ableist BS about Barbara Gordon. Like stories written in the 90s treat disabled people with more respect than modern comics it's shameful. Like its beyond cruel.

Its baffling to me how able bodied people don't see a problem with able bodied Oracle. Oracle is a disabled hero one of few and someone putting Batgirl in glasses and having her in the clocktower is just stealing from a disabled character its genuinely sickening.#Oracle #Batman

Right I'm going to bed. But I'm still not over the shamelessness of having Batgirl stick on glasses and for DC to pretend that's the same thing as Oracle.

Barbara Gordon in Batman #100 isn't Oracle its just Batgirl and DC knows that and they know able bodied people don't care about disabled representation and will eat it up. Oracle is one of the few disabled superheroes there is and this is just another insult to disabled fans.

I really remade twitter to stand up for disabled superheroes and complain about their mistreatment.
