As the school season begins, riding a bike can be a great way to get around. And thanks to the Biden-Harris infrastructure law, more communities are getting funding to build safe ways to get around—whether you walk, ride, or drive. Happy and safe biking this school year!

When you see yellow lights flashing on a school bus, it’s your cue to slow down and prepare to stop. Kids could be crossing the road at any moment!

71 students at James John just got free bikes and all the safety gear to go with it! After school, volunteers helped match the 3rd-5th graders with helmets, locks, lights and a bike. The school even had an obstacle course set up so the students could ride their new bikes!

Friendly reminder to give a storm drain near you a little love. Additionally, sand and sandbag locations are stocked. Don't forget your shovel! Location details at portland.gov/transportation/…
Q: Can bees fly in the rain? A: Not without their yellow jackets😋 We've got rain on the way. Now is a great time to give a storm drain near you a little love. Our crews work hard to keep storm drains clear, but with over 58,000 drains in the city, they can't get to them all.

Thanks to everyone helping the city recover by clearing your sidewalks of remaining snow, ice, and slush. Help the melting snow and ice (and rain) reach storm drains by clearing a 12-inch channel to them. Thanks especially to the @PortlandBEM NETs for their work across the city!
