What a good social trading app should look like:
1) Zero support for memecoins. Effectively eliminate pump and dumps and insider trading.
2) Introduce a trust layer. I want to know whether the profile I'm following belongs to a real person and have additional context (nationality, age, stock balance, accredited investor?). The more context I have, the more I can trust that profile.
2.1) Use ZK to preserve privacy. If there's a trust layer, users should be able to prove these credentials without revealing their underlying personal information.
3) Trades are always settled onchain.

The idea: a trusted community of verified humans + a prediction market layer within the community.

Some people see memecoins as a great distribution and GTM strategy for crypto trading apps.
All the flashy PnL posts create massive FOMO to join (no pun intended). But in the end, it’s harmful rather than creating a long-term positive and profitable experience for users and the industry as a whole.
I still believe there’s a real need for a trusted social trading app, but only around trustworthy assets: crypto majors, tokenized stocks, and even embedded prediction markets.
