We tried turning a 1982 TI-99/4A game into 3D in the browser with C#/WASM and an int[] PIXEL BUFFER (no webGL)
This is PSEC-99, an unofficial 3D tribute to PARSEC
Play in browser: psec99.xaml.cloud
The terrain is NOT made of polygons : for each screen row, the renderer calculates where the surface, walls and floor should be, then fills the pixels directly
Sounds are synthesized at runtime (no assets)
Resolution adapts automatically if FPS drops
XAML handles the HUD
If you remember PARSEC on the TI-99/4A, curious if this brings back some of the feeling :)
If you enjoyed it, a repost of the first post would help others find it:

No AI. Unedited footage of porting a 6-year-old WPF Tetris game to the Web in under 100 seconds with xaml.io
Powered by the new "WriteableImage" XAML control in OpenSilver 3.4-Preview, which allows you to work directly on the pixel array from C# (no WebGL, no interop needed: the HTML canvas reads directly from .NET memory!)
Ported nostalgic classic Windows 3D Starfield screensaver by jiludkumar-therealone to C#/XAML

Rendering the path as real SVG is an important distinction. DOM participation changes styling, accessibility, and interaction possibilities significantly.
Opus 5.5 dropped yday and you can already use it for free in our browser-based .NET IDE, no CC required
Want to try Opus 5.5 (Low) for free?
We just added it to XAML.io
It’s free up to $5/month, with a $3/day cap, and you can see exactly what each request costs.
We tried: "Create a mobile-friendly Minesweeper clone"

What if AI app builders (Lovable, Bolt, etc.) worked directly on real .NET projects?
Introducing XAML.io v0.9:
- Prompt, edit, run & publish C# + XAML apps
- In-browser .NET IDE with AI + a visual designer
- Free to use + free AI credits

Git won.
That doesn’t mean everyone should have to learn it.
So we built Version History into XAML.io.
Make anything. Break anything. Go back anytime.
Version control for the rest of us.

Curious what you can build with @XAML_io in just a few minutes?
@Vecto_Art put together a great 8-minute walkthrough of our browser-based .NET IDE, from writing XAML to seeing it run. Thanks for taking it for a spin and sharing!

Silverlight died in 2021. The apps built on it? Still running in production at companies that can't afford a full rewrite.
I just rebuilt one from scratch using a 100% free, MIT-licensed .NET framework — in Visual Studio, with real debugging.

A big thank you to @Vecto_Art for this excellent OpenSilver video tutorial! 🙌
Their YouTube channel is one of the best resources for XAML developers. We highly recommend subscribing if you haven’t already!

Today we're introducing version 0.8 of XAML.io, with "Migrate from WPF": analyze, import, and run an existing WPF app on the web, keeping your C# and XAML. Privacy preserving. Full write-up & a reference migration you can inspect yourself: blog.xaml.io/post/migrate-wp…
