A few months ago, we built a self-improving security agent called Sentinel to help protect OpenRouter users. It runs 24/7 across all activity to look for activity anomalies, signs of end-user account takeover, user key theft, and more.
It continuously makes improvements based on signals from our trust and safety team, with a 0.05% action reversal rate (similar to false positive rate) this month. Anyone app can leverage its protection by implementing OpenRouter OAuth: openrouter.ai/docs/guides/ov…

Today, we are launching OpenRouter Armor in beta.
Tool calls allow agents to interact with the world, and regex-based filtering often isn't enough to detect unwanted tool calls.
Armor uses @typesafeai's Jev model to guard against out of policy tool calls before your agent executes them, with better performance than Claude Code's auto classifier at a fraction of the cost.
We're live on OpenRouter with DeepSeek v4.1-1017
Clear improvements on agentic coding across the board
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is live on OpenRouter with DeepSeek as the first provider and many more providers on the way.
@deepseek_ai's update to V4.1 Flash is more token efficient and shows major gains in agentic benchmarks.

Add `:nitro` to any model slug on @OpenRouter and your request goes to whichever provider is serving that model fastest right now.
Running the same prompt on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, our most used coding model:
- without: 6.8s
- with `:nitro`: 3.9s

Openrouter is the best place to use Perplexity Decider models
Perplexity Decider v1.2 and Decider Flash v1.2 are now on OpenRouter
@perplexity_ai's open-weights decision models take text or images and return typed answers with probabilities
- Decider v1.2: a new 27B checkpoint, succeeding v1.1
- Decider Flash v1.2: 4B, faster and half the cost

New addition to our data rankings: Open vs Closed model share.
Open-weight models processed 73% of total tokens so far this week.

i love using ori harness
i can evaluate 3 different model's abilities by running 3 separate sessions
right now im rebuilding royale: last agent standing and comparing @OpenAI astra, @GoogleDeepMind argon, and @claudeai opus 5.5
let's put them to the test!

Today we launched OpenRouter Armor, an "auto" permissions mode (similar Claude Code's Auto), but:
-> more accurate
-> works with any model/agent!
powered by decision models like Jev
Replying to @OpenRouter
On an internal test set we generated for this task, Jev 1.13 had the highest accuracy and lowest cost when compared to other Decisions models and Claude Code's usage of Sonnet 5.

Open up a 2 terminals and compare the Gemini and Muse models side by side:
$ ori --model=google/gemini-4-argon:nitro
$ ori --model=meta/muse-wonder:nitro
Gemini 4 Argon from @GoogleDeepMind is live on OpenRouter, via Google AI Studio and @googlecloud.
It tops AutomationBench (51.3%) and LVBench (91.7%) and ties for first on CWE-bench v1 (68%).
$2/M input, $10/M output (introductory pricing).

New from OpenRouter: Anthropic's Opus 5.5 has propelled them back above OpenAI in recent weeks.
It's the top model in share of spend (right-hand bars) but it is also seeing major token demand (left-hand bars).
Impact of Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 growing as well

The obsession with DeepSWE (deepswe.datacurve.ai/) has been interesting to watch, but still very impressive. Great work from Meta!
We're adding @OpenRouter support to Priority Boarding users in Railway
@OpenRouter lets you access wider models for all things agent, whether its our harness in a Cloud Agent, or our bots. Models like @grok 4.7, @Muse Spark 1.3 and more

Very excited to have @ElevenLabs on OpenRouter!
Starting with ⑪ unique models. Here's a quick guide on which ones to use:
ElevenLabs is officially on OpenRouter.
You can now call 9 Text to Speech models, with up to 90+ languages, and 2 Speech to Text models with speaker labels and word-level timestamps.
All @ElevenLabs models are 50% off, only on OpenRouter, through October 19, 8am PT.

.@OpenRouter co-founder Alex Atallah, in his first podcast since Stripe acquired the company, joins @Replit co-founder Amjad Masad and a16z's Erik Torenberg on why the future of AI is independence and specialization.
In this conversation, Alex walks through how the Stripe deal unfolded, why he wasn't originally looking to sell, and why "payments and inference are going to blend together."
Pre-OpenRouter, the typical AI workflow had one model provider to choose from, and little pressure on that provider to lower prices. Now enterprises are diversifying across labs and open-weight models, and every board is asking about AI costs and benchmarks.
Amjad argues if your company depends on one AI lab, it can turn into your competitor. So Replit is building the layer that lets enterprises use any model and any cloud, without being locked into either.
Alex and Amjad are split on personal agents – Amjad runs one agent across his whole company and loves the cross-domain joins, while Alex says general agents cause you to sacrifice understanding, and argues 10 specialized chiefs of staff beats one superagent.
