Full initial source code just dropped for the open, AI-native enterprise TMS!
Code and roadmap at github.com/modelfront/openlo…
This is a public beta, with lots of obvious features not built yet. We're already working on the next round: more file formats, CMS integrations, vendor management, portal... and more AI!

Already launched in this release:
– The core of an enterprise TMS: translation memories, term bases, QA checks, configurable workflows, a collaborative CAT editor and common file formats.
– AI inside the workflow: routing to your own choice of LLM or MT engine per language, and quality estimation and automatic post-editing as steps, with your choice of provider (including @claudeai, @ChatGPT and of course @modelfront).
– Prompt builder that just works out of the box with context and RAG, and makes it easy to include style guides
– Live dashboards for volume, post-editing effort and AI usage out of the box -- or created by you from AI chat
– Raw MT workflows to provide scalable AI managed by the localization team
– System-wide MCP, so you can use AI chat to set up and manage projects, TMs, term bases, QA, workflows and settings -- and even manage AI
– A built-in AI assistant that answers questions from your project data and, when you allow it, makes changes for you -- using the AI provider of your choice!
Come see it in person at @LocWorld 56 Vancouver at booth 46!
OpenLoc is free for enterprise localization teams. The full source code is now public under the Business Source License 1.1, which converts to an open-source license.
– Enterprise localization teams can download, modify, self-host and run OpenLoc in production for free.
– Hosting and support are available at cost, to both enterprise localization teams and localization vendors.
– Localization vendors need a commercial license to self-host OpenLoc for commercial use, like selling translation services, hosting or a TMS.

Now that building enterprise software became a few X easier, we believe that all features, connectors, integrations, should be available by default.
The real cost is now human time, not adding features.
OpenLoc's cost is not more than what it costs to host, provide support, or uphold SLAs.
And enterprise localization teams can always just get it and host it themselves for free.
Building enterprise software got a few X easier.
TMS buyers should be getting those same few X more in value.
