I opened Fast Company this morning and saw my own words staring back at me. “AI will let us bring life‑saving drugs to market faster—and cheaper—than ever before.” That sentence was born in a late‑night sprint, fueled by stale espresso and a stubborn belief that patients shouldn’t have to wait a decade for hope. Today it sits in a national headline. I’m equal parts humbled and fired‑up. Here’s what the quote really means to me: 1.Speed is empathy. Every week we shave off a clinical‑trial timeline is another week someone spends at home instead of in the ICU. 2.Data is clay. When we mold billions of data points with generative algorithms, we’re not crunching numbers—we’re sculpting cures. 3.Partnership is the multiplier. No single lab, startup, or university can rewrite medicine alone. But together we can bend the cost‑curve and the time‑curve at the same time. I didn’t get into AI to make headlines—I got into it to make a dent in human suffering. Seeing that mission echoed in Fast Company is a reminder that the dent is getting deeper.
