Was just talking to @femalelongevity about this on her pod Theorized that birth control should lead to thymus shrinkage Now we seem to have data to support that Uh oh
Does using birth control early in life accelerate the speed of immune function deterioration. If yes, then it would likely be associated with women dying younger. The following pre-print is a great start into answering the question. The small study found smaller thymus in women on birth control compared to women not on birth control. Credit to @AbudBakri for curiosity in the importance of the thymus. Following the thymus Thymus Involution across the Human Menstrual Cycle biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…

Absolutely everything is a trade off Kids are a trade off Careers are a trade off Getting married is a trade off Staying single is a trade off It’s crazy to lie to people and claim any life choice is 100% rainbows and roses, and people aren’t usually dumb enough to believe that anyways “Kids are a trade off but they’re worth it” is a more honest assessment (and a more convincing one!)

It’s canon for elves to look good btw. In the Anglo-Saxon poem “Judith,” the title character is called elfsċēnu, which means “elf-shining” or “elf-beautiful.” If you’re writing an elf, you must make them a ten out of ten smoke-show dime piece.

One of the worst things about modern poverty is being subject to endless institutions and authority figures. There's very few people left who are materially poor and also living unmolested.

ICE agent in Utah tells the driver to open the window or he’s breaking it. Driver smugly fires back “You can’t break this window!” Agent smashes it to pieces and says, “I told you I was going to break it.” Pure FAFO comedy gold. Democrats are melting down because Utah Highway Patrol is teaming up with ICE across the state.

I don't advocate "using drugs" generally. It's always harm reduction. If you and your wife are about to divorce, and have kids, do MDMA together. Go "extreme" (by normie standards) before a divorce. Divorce, property understood, is far more risky than popping molly. ffs.

I've long predicted a great increase in the number of "alternative" childbearing arrangements among middle class women. They aren't going to accept dying childless, you are going to see a lot of donor pregnancy, and also things where several women "share" an IRL baby-daddy.

Closure of maternity wards has only accelerated since. healthcaredive.com/news/half…
The spiraling effect of this will be that more young would-be mothers delay having kids, risking not having them, or abort their children because of uncertainty and expenses mounting to even have a child - leading to even more maternity ward closures: archive.is/YZgdr

Truly, truly fascinating that if you just look at women who have chosen to be mothers at all, there is effectively no fertility crisis; almost all mothers everywhere choose to have more than 2.1 kids on average. The crisis is in the growing ranks of unmarried, childless women.
An update to my list of the TFRs decomposed into the Total Maternal Rate and the number of Children per Mother (Family size). Some countries have similar TFRs, but they differ a lot in how they attain them (Do they have low childlessness and small families or the other way round?).

A husband and wife can love each other so concretely that their love becomes a third person. We have learned to describe the biology so well that we barely notice how beautiful the pattern is.
