many new features, my highlights are container pre-initialization and support for IPC. Container sharing may also be interesting, but I need to test it. @OpenAnalytics

Organizations that are serious about R, develop packages.
Serious package development also requires a safe place where your internal package repositories are managed.

Pros for #shinyproxy - #OSS, #rshiny friendly, several authentication options off the box & excellent docs/sample use cases (🙏🏼@OpenAnalytics)
Cons - have to know minimal #docker; it’s a useful skill, so a good reason to learn along the way 🤩; good for reproducibility too

Not even 2 weeks back from #useR2019 and I've succesfully deployed several of our apps on @OpenAnalytics' ShinyProxy, including that one pesky app's where the TeX environment in windows somehow broke down. Not an issue now!

My team does this and I love it. Rocker containers served with Shiny Proxy by @OpenAnalytics. It does take a little bit of Linux know how (nginx server) but it's totally worth it. The best part is no moreworrying about changing R versions / libraries, it great
