“There is no immigrant crime wave”
We use a residual statistical method to estimate the illegal immigrant population nationwide and in prison. Overtime, we find that illegal immigrants are always less likely to be incarcerated than natives, but legal immigrants are least likely of all.

While the USTR tariff calculator cites the findings from Cavallo, Gopinath, Neiman & Tang (2021) it is not entirely clear how they use our findings. Based on our research, the elasticity of import prices with respect to tariffs is closer to 1. If that figure were used instead of 0.25, the implied reciprocal tariffs would come out about four times smaller.
USTR: "The elasticity of import prices with respect to tariffs, φ, is 0.25. The recent experience with U.S. tariffs on China has demonstrated that tariff passthrough to retail prices was low (Cavallo et al, 2021)."
Cavallo et al: φ is 0.945.

He says n’importe quoi. The US almost blocked Marshall aid because the Europeans kept bickering and refusing to agree on anything. The US needed a solid block against the communist threat and therefore wanted European unity more than the Europeans themselves.

I’ve just been told by @ukhomeoffice that it will take 6 months for me to receive a replacement residency card. This is not a new immigration decision, just a replacement card. No mechanism for issuing temporary paperwork. Completely unacceptable. This country is a basket case.
