This goes to show that the South africans weren't the problem. It's those Nigerians who entered their country illegally and still did illegal jobs that gave all Nigerians in their country bad publicity that were the problem and still are.
as Nigerians we must all understand that sometimes it's not about national pride, its about taking correctionz ourselves. Travel the legal way and when we go abroad, let's tell some of our brothers to stop doing illegal things just to make money and send home because things are hard over here.
and before you come for me, if you go on YouTube you'll find videos of lots of nigerians being arrested for illegal businesses in another person's country and somehow instead of feeling shame we are feeling angry and wondering why those other african nations think all of us are dangerous.
The Nigerian authorities allow a lot of illegal things in Nigeria and some people take it abroad only to meet a system that doesn't tolerate it. In Nigeria alone we are currently fighting for our lives because 40% of things in the market may be fake and dangerous to consume but it is our fellow nigerians who are evil enough to produce them. People like that go abroad and open drug stores and so on. Did you really think that Foreigners wouldn't get tired of those illegal people ruining their communities.
We can't have some of our fellow citizens ruining people's lives abroad and expect some of them not to do horrible things to send them home. The truth is that If our country was as effective and well run as theirs we wouldn't be running out of Nigeria everyday.
At least 5000 Nigerians migrate permanently everyday to a different country. It says something about us. We're always running away from home instead of staying to fix our own country.
Every Nigerian dreams of the day they'll leave Nigeria for good, every south Africa wants to stay in South africa forever. Do you see the difference ?
These two countries can coexist in peace again, but for Gods sake Nigerians do your part. Let's fix our own country first before telling other people what to do in their own because the truth is, the only reason most of go there is because things are so much better over there.
We can't be here on Social media cursing people for deciding to send home Nigerians who are ruining the citizens of their country everyday just because we are Nigerians.
Nigeria will be great again, but we need to make it better ourselves.
πΏπ¦β€οΈ MY SOUTH AFRICAN EXPERIENCE AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET! πΏπ¦π³π¬
Honestly, my stay in South Africa was nothing short of AMAZING! ππ₯
From the moment I arrived, I experienced a beautiful country with so much to admire. The clean roads, automated systems, reliable clean water supply, and electricity that didn't go off even for one day during my stay left a lasting impression on me. π³π
Free Wi-Fi, impressive infrastructure, well-built stadiums, and a security system that made me feel safe were all part of the experience. But beyond the infrastructure, what touched my heart the most was the people! β€οΈπΏπ¦
The people of South Africa were lovely, welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They made my stay even more special, and I am grateful for every moment, every smile, and every connection I made.
As a Nigerian, this journey gave me the opportunity to experience South Africa beyond what I had seen on social media. I came, I explored, I learned, I connected, and I created beautiful memories that I will cherish forever. π³π¬π€πΏπ¦

A clear sign that ANC government and EFF don't give a Shit about SAns, they hardly said anything about makhadzi while her rights are being dragged over in botswana.!! This is the proper timing to observe who to vote for! β at Sandton, South Africa

I've been going through the DTIC response to Washington's AGOA decision, and honestly, some of these figures put the whole debate into perspective.
Did you know that in 2025, approximately 89% of South African exports to the US entered under ordinary WTO Most-Favoured-Nation terms? Only about 10% entered under AGOA, valued at roughly $1.7 billion, down from $4 billion in 2024.
And here's what makes this interesting: AGOA exports represented just 1% of South Africa's total global exports. π
Now, I'm not suggesting that losing AGOA won't hurt, particularly for affected farmers, manufacturers and workers. But can we please stop talking as though South Africa's entire economy is going to collapse on 1 January 2027? π
We're talking about a serious challenge for certain industries, not the end of the Republic!
And while we're discussing economic dependence, can we also talk about what America gets from its relationship with South Africa? According to the DTIC, South Africa supplies 12 of the 50 minerals the US considers critical to its industries. The department also says we supply approximately 70% of certain US medical isotopes used in cancer treatment. Then there are the more than 600 American companies operating in South Africa, supporting approximately 134,600 local jobs.
So this idea that AGOA is some charitable favour Washington bestows upon helpless South Africans is rather amusing. π
Trade relationships involve mutual interests, darlings. America has economic interests here too! π
But something else in the DTIC statement caught my attention. Minister Parks Tau says South Africa spent months negotiating with Washington, offering additional concessions while trying to respect our biosecurity requirements, WTO obligations and constitutional responsibilities.
Yet, according to the department, the US subsequently introduced new issues that hadn't formed part of the negotiations that began in 2025.πππππ
And this is where the DTIC's Butterfly Strategy becomes interesting. South Africa is pursuing additional export opportunities across the African Continental Free Trade Area, SADC, India, the EU, UK, ASEAN, MERCOSUR and China. Which is exactly what economic diversification should look like.
Not abandoning America. Not becoming dependent on China. Not imagining BRICS will magically solve every economic problem.
But building relationships across multiple markets so that no single trading partner has disproportionate influence over our economic future.
This guy need to leave our country, the sooner he see the door out the better..!! America start to destroy other states like this, and they speeding up their procces β at Meadowlands, South Africa
Great to see first-hand the big wins for American companies in South Africa. At Traxtionβs Rosslyn facility, I was impressed by Traxtionβs refurbishment of 46 U.S.-built @WabtecCorp locomotives that are modernizing South Africaβs rail systems. American companies are the gold standard when it comes to bringing quality technology, creating jobs and increasing prosperity. There is much more we can accomplish behind the power of American businesses.
this is a proper legend and he still knows his story β at Meadowlands, South Africa
