Remembering the crew of the Penlee lifeboat who tragically lost their lives 43 years ago. #RNLI #penlee #cornwall
43 years ago, eight brave crew members @penleelifeboat launched in treacherous conditions to aid the Union Star. Tragically, 16 people lost their lives that night. This is the crew's story told by their children. It's also a tale of hope and community resilience. #RNLI #OTD

The Cornish scientist, Humphry Davy, was born in Penzance on 17 Dec 1778. He invented the miner’s safety lamp, and was the first to isolate many elements including sodium, potassium, calcium and barium. He was also an accomplished poet who was friends with Wordsworth & Coleridge

Yesterday, I attended the @duolingo event in Parliament. I highlighted the importance of our very own Cornish language, Kernewek, and asked them to include it as an option for learners.

On this day in 2001, 23 years ago, I was part of the delegation that delivered 50,000 declarations calling for a Cornish Assembly to 10 Downing St. Next week, the Government will publish an English Devolution Bill / White Paper. I call for a CORNISH DEVOLUTION BILL.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at King Doniert's Stone, too! We hope you enjoyed today's snowy historic views. If you took any photos of Cornwall's heritage in the snow, we would love to see them. Image description: King Doniert's Stone in the snow

I submitted my thesis today. There are 2 pages of acknowledgments, but I’d also like to thank @PetrocTrelawny @RealKenBruce and @simonmayo (and Matt, Holly and the team) for providing the soundtrack to my research
