Jaromir Jagr: “I worked out so hard that summer. I thought, ‘Okay, this year I’m going to catch Mario'. " 👀 His training included 1,000 deep knee bends/bodyweight squats a day, lunges and side lunges, sprints and running, weighted-vest workouts, ankle-weight training both on and off the ice, medicine-ball exercises, hockey-stick resistance and cable exercises, weighted-puck shooting, resisted stickhandling, sled/resistance running, and extensive extra skating sessions 💪 "I came to camp, we got on the ice, and he was still twice as strong as me. He didn’t lift a single weight all summer, and I couldn’t even budge him. Mario hadn't skated all summer. I realized right then that some people are just born different.” ✨ 🪄
