These apps should be banned, not promoted. In addition to the ramifications of gambling addiction, they allow “trading” on policies, drug trials, and natural disasters that affect our real lives. Also, the only way for these partnerships to be successful is for fans to lose. Boo.

The real reason @LiveNation and @Ticketmaster want resale price caps is simple.
If you notice, there is no caps on the primary pricing. So eliminating the competition from the secondary market they could manipulate the amount of tickets and prices even more.
What would stop them from releasing only 60% of a venue, claiming it sold out due to incredible demand and then over months slowly release very expensive dynamically priced tickets or platinum tickets (they do this already to some extent) The problem is when there is no secondary market, nothing will slow down their monopoly and ability to price fix.
I know the cap on secondary sounds good to many fans, but this is why Live Nation is pushing for it. They gain more control and further strengthen their monopoly.
