Yes, unfortunately :( I still prefer broken or battered units – it doesn't feel as bad breaking them.
Indeed, the controls and the "peripherals" are very similar. I wonder if there is a connection between them.
Puyolin (ぷよりん) LCD game has been dumped and emulated. It runs on a Holtek HT1190 4-bit microcontroller.

It's great that someone else is developing for this watch, too! By the way, I also got into more or less serious assembly programming because of this watch.

This watch is unique in that it can run programs loaded onto it, which is what initially piqued my interest. There are a few other models I'm interested in, like the Casio VDB-1000 and Seiko RC-1000, but I don't think I'll ever get my hands on one to reverse engineer.

Now I understand what you mean. I've seen a few such projects, but I don't think I've seen anything systematic.

Do you mean something like this? madrigaldesign.it/sim/
This is what the game looks like on a real watch: youtube.com/watch?v=gIUXOaXo…
I'm currently working on an Epson RC-20 emulator. The watch has two processors: a 4-bit one and an 8-bit Z84. I'll only emulate the Z84 program execution mode, as I won't decap the 4bit MCU of these rare watches to dump mask ROM. The video shows a Chrome T-Rex demake I once wrote

Недавно на авито такая попадалась. Сначала даже подумал, что какая-то оригинальная консоль.
