Halloween is almost here, and every year the same question comes up. Is Halloween just harmless fun, or should Christians be concerned about what they're celebrating? Some see costumes, candy, pumpkins, and family traditions. Others recognize the growing fascination with witchcraft, sorcery, divination, demons, and the occult. But here's where biblical discernment matters. Putting on a superhero costume doesn't automatically mean someone is participating in witchcraft. At the same time, Scripture clearly condemns occult practices, and Christians shouldn't dismiss those warnings simply because something has become culturally acceptable. The question isn't just whether something is entertaining. Does it honor Jesus Christ? Parents especially need to consider what they're allowing into their homes, what their children are learning, and whether certain activities encourage fascination with practices God has forbidden. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11 This isn't about living in fear or seeing demons behind every pumpkin. It's about following Jesus Christ, exercising biblical discernment, and refusing to normalize what Scripture condemns. Our hope is not in avoiding a holiday. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again. So what do you think? Should Christians participate in Halloween? #Halloween2026 #ChristiansAndHalloween #BiblicalDiscernment #ChristianParenting #JesusChrist

New article from Once Lost: "One of the first things my sister told me upon becoming a Christian changed my life. She knew about calling to God with no answer. She said, “When you pray, you talk to God. When you read the Bible, He talks to you.” THAT TOTALLY CHANGED MY LIFE." - Pastor Claude Stauffer How Readest Thou- Part 5: Loving God’s Word from Cover to Cover once-lost.com/how-readest-th…

Is witchcraft becoming normal in our culture? From Hollywood movies and Halloween celebrations to tarot cards, astrology, crystals, and spiritual practices, the supernatural is increasingly presented as harmless, empowering, and even desirable. But what does the Bible actually say? 📖 In this video from Once Lost Ministries, Flynn Huseby sits down with Jenn Nizza of ExPsychicSaved to examine the growing fascination with witchcraft, occult spirituality, and Halloween in 2026. As a former psychic who came to faith in Jesus Christ, Jenn brings a personal perspective on the spiritual practices Scripture warns against. The conversation explores witchcraft themes in entertainment such as Practical Magic 2, Wicked, and other productions featuring magic and supernatural powers. Flynn and Jenn discuss the difference between fictional entertainment and actual occult participation, along with the responsibility Christian parents have to evaluate what their families are watching and celebrating. They also examine modern practices such as tarot readings, astrology, spellcasting, spirit guides, and attempts to communicate with the dead. The goal is not to create fear or search for hidden symbolism everywhere, but to understand biblical boundaries, recognize spiritual deception, and point people to the freedom and salvation found in Jesus Christ. @NizzaJennifer youtube.com/live/dUzHJJMcTDM…

What is the difference between Christian evangelism and Islamic Dawah? How does political Islam relate to Sharia law, religious freedom, and Western society? And why should Christians understand these differences when defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ? 📖 In Session 11 of our Understanding Islam series from Once Lost Ministries, we examine Islamic Dawah, political Islam, Sharia law, and the relationship between religious beliefs and political authority. The discussion begins by comparing Christian apologetics and evangelism with Islamic efforts to invite others to embrace Islam. The conversation then moves into the political and cultural dimensions of Islam, including questions about religious liberty, freedom of speech, and the compatibility of particular interpretations of Sharia law with Western constitutional principles. The speakers also discuss concerns about the influence of political Islam in Western institutions and how Christians should evaluate these issues. Finally, the discussion addresses the importance of speaking openly about religious differences without confusing criticism of beliefs with hatred toward people. Christians are called to exercise biblical discernment, defend the truth of Scripture, and use the opportunities God has given us to proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ. #islam youtu.be/pltc-wQJZz0

One of the most common arguments against the Trinity is that the word itself never appears in Scripture. But neither does the word incarnation, yet John 1:14 clearly teaches that the eternal Word became flesh. A doctrine does not have to be named in a single verse to be taught throughout Scripture. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. It also teaches that there is only one God and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are personally distinct. That is the doctrine of the Trinity. Not three gods. Not one person pretending to be three different persons. One God eternally existing in three distinct Persons. We must allow the whole counsel of Scripture to shape our theology rather than demanding that every doctrine be explained in one sentence. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 The identity of Jesus Christ matters because our salvation depends on Who He truly is. He is not a created being or merely a great teacher. He is God the Son who became flesh, died for our sins, and rose again. The question is not whether the word appears in Scripture. The question is whether Scripture teaches the doctrine. #Trinity #DeityOfChrist #ChristianApologetics #BiblicalTruth #JesusChrist

We spend so much time worrying about things that will not matter in eternity while neglecting the one thing that matters most: Where will we spend eternity?

For people that like rap, I apologize to those that don't 😬 The world is consumed with money, fame, pleasure, and everything temporary. But while kingdoms rise and fall, Jesus Christ remains King of kings and Lord of lords! We spend so much time worrying about things that will not matter in eternity while neglecting the one thing that matters most: Where will we spend eternity? Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Salvation is available to everyone who places their faith in Him. Don't waste your life chasing what cannot save you. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Matthew 16:26 Give it a listen, share it with someone, and remember that eternity matters! #TruthThunder #ChristianRap #NoTimeToWaste #GospelMusic #JesusChrist youtu.be/Ar0YXWwqick?si=Bwzj…

There is a difference between winning an argument and being right with the Lord. You can know Scripture, defend sound doctrine, expose false teaching, and still allow pride, bitterness, and arrogance to take hold of your heart. Being biblically correct matters. Truth is not optional. But knowing the truth should never become an excuse to neglect humility, love, repentance, and obedience. And here is something even more important. Being right with God is not something you accomplish through your own goodness. You cannot earn salvation by being religious, winning theological debates, attending church, or doing enough good works. You need Jesus Christ. He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again. Forgiveness and eternal life are received by grace through faith in Him alone. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 So ask yourself something today. Are you more concerned about proving yourself right, or knowing that you are right with God through Jesus Christ? #JesusChrist #Salvation #BiblicalTruth #ChristianLiving #Gospel

What is Sharia law, and how does it shape Islamic belief, worship, society, finance, politics, and the treatment of those outside Islam? In Session 10, the discussion examines Sharia and why Christians need to understand what Islamic sources actually teach rather than relying on simplified definitions. 📷 In this video from Once Lost Ministries, we examine Sharia law from a biblical perspective. The discussion addresses the relationship between Sharia, jihad, Islamic government, personal religious practice, political Islam, and the distinction presented between territories governed by Islamic law and those outside Islamic rule. The conversation explains how the speakers understand Sharia as extending beyond religious rituals or Islamic courts into marriage, divorce, finance, criminal law, social relationships, and political life. It also discusses military jihad, what the speakers call stealth jihad, Islamic finance, and concerns about the influence of Sharia within Western institutions. The episode also addresses taqiyya and political Islam and argues that Christians must understand these subjects without confusing individual Muslims with the Islamic system being examined. The goal is not hatred toward Muslims, but biblical discernment and a willingness to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly. This is a dog tag I got in November of last year in Israel, and says BRING THEM HOME. We stand today and remember exactly what happened, no matter the facade given from the world press. We will NOT FORGET! #Israel #October7 #PrayforIsrael

October 7, 2023 should never be forgotten. On that morning, Hamas led a coordinated terrorist assault from Gaza into southern Israel. About 1,200 people were killed and roughly 250 people were taken hostage. The victims included Israeli civilians, foreign nationals, soldiers, children, and elderly people. We remember the lives taken. We remember the families shattered. We remember those who were dragged into captivity. We remember the Jewish people who once again experienced the horror of being targeted for who they are. As Christians, we should refuse to minimize, excuse, or celebrate the atrocities committed on October 7. And we should pray for Israel while remembering that the greatest need of both Jewish and Arab people is ultimately the same: Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Savior. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” Psalm 122:6 #October7 #WeRemember #Israel #PrayForIsrael #JesusChrist

Does the faithful “remnant” of Israel replace national Israel in God’s plan? Or does Scripture distinguish between the remnant and the nation while maintaining God’s promises to Israel? 📖 In this video from Once Lost Ministries, Kyle Peart, Flynn Huseby, and Chris Quintana examine the remnant of Israel from a biblical perspective. What does the Bible actually say about the remnant, national Israel, and God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? A central argument surrounding replacement theology is that the faithful remnant represents the true Israel and fulfills the promises God made to the nation. But does the existence of a believing remnant mean that national Israel has been replaced? In this discussion, we examine the biblical definition of Israel, the distinction between the nation and the remnant within the nation, God’s covenant promises through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and whether those promises have been transferred or redefined. We also consider how Gentiles could join themselves to Israel without changing the biblical identity of Israel itself. youtu.be/UwGKEm-SXW4?si=FJzL…

"Isn't it interesting when anyone brings a little correction about your sin, you immediately pass them off as unChrist-like and judgmental. It's disgusting that it's more of a scandal in this church culture to reprove sin than it is to laugh at it." - Nate Pfeil

Jesus warned us for a reason. False teachers rarely introduce themselves by saying, “I am here to deceive you.” They can be charismatic, persuasive, successful, compassionate sounding, and incredibly popular. That is what makes discernment necessary. Teachers such as Bill Johnson, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, Steven Furtick, Todd White, and Kenneth Copeland should not be accepted merely because they use Christian language, attract enormous audiences, or speak about Jesus. Their actual teachings must be examined carefully against Scripture. There are significant theological controversies surrounding several of these ministries, particularly concerning prosperity teaching, healing claims, prophecy, and charismatic practices. Popularity proves nothing. Miraculous claims prove nothing. Charisma proves nothing. God’s Word is the standard. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” Matthew 7:15 #FalseProphets #BiblicalDiscernment #ChristianApologetics #Bible #JesusChrist
