Today @Daley_thompson becomes the first ever GB athlete to hold a national record for fifty years. It was on Sep 5, 1976 that he scored 7905 pts in a Decathlon in Talence..he improved it eight times to 8847 pts to retain Olympic gold.. the only change since is the scoring tables

Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot (Curiosity Killed The Cat), Paul Young, Donny Osmond and Alvin Stardust pose for photographers ahead of a charity match at Edgbaston, September 10th 1987. Also taking part were Phil Collins, Tom Robinson, Mark Nicholas and Bob Taylor. Around 6000 watched the match which raised funds aimed at saving Cameroon's Korup rainforest

Yesterday, a Romanian shepherd stumbled upon a Russian drone carrying an explosive payload that crashed into a field in Romania. This being the first drone he ever saw, the man did the sensible thing and started pulling random wires out of it until he defused it himself.
