Half-Life 2 stuttered on even the most powerful systems of the time when it was released. And it was worse than UE5 stutter. It was like hitching and the sound would stutter too. I’m 39 years old and I’m not taking this revisionist history bullshit lol

it's amazing to me how much Unity and Unreal (especially Unity) struggle with skinned mesh rendering in 2025. Even 0.1x this many unique skinned mesh renderers can bring Unity to its knees

It’s worth mentioning that studios hire fans all the time. I’ve interviewed dozens who worked hard to get jobs at their favorite studios. I myself followed a similar path. The key is they hire the talented fans with drive, knowledge & ability. As opposed to total dumbfucks.
