Betts spoke about realizing baseball could not give him ultimate purpose. Tommy Edman talked about keeping his identity rooted in Christ instead of his performance on the field. Alex Call talked about refusing to be ashamed of the Gospel and using his platform to glorify Jesus. In a culture constantly telling athletes and celebrities to keep biblical faith private, these men did the opposite. They used the platform God gave them to point beyond themselves. The Supreme Court has reinstated the Trump administration’s expanded voter verification database, allowing states to use the system to check voter records against federal citizenship information.
