Took 1st in a round robin (4 players play each other in their own quad) tournament. Tied with the second seed for wins and losses so we had to play 2 blitz games to determine who won the cash payout. Glad those blitz games payed off :-)

Got a draw round 6 and got second place! My opponent studied my Sicilian opening from my previous games and I had to throw a curve ball to keep my defense strong! Was the best I played in a long time! Left with my winnings of $550. Today was a good day!

Decided to move my king to e4 thinking I forced my opponent into checkmate or loss in material. Can anyone see the blunder my opponent didnt capitalize on from my mistake?

Had to offer a draw for round 4 due to forgetting a spot towards the end game. First time in a long time swapping a queen for 2 rooks but I played out of my mind to get the W. Props to my opponent, he was insane. Tomorrow at 10am is round 5!
