Why are people complaining about the Roadster when Apple just released a phone for $3,499 Australian dollars. That is ridiculous.
If someone has more money than you then they are greedy and need to share it with you and others. If you have more money than someone else, well, they better work harder to earn more money.
We need the online thought bill aka Digital Duty of Care Bill from Labor. What we need is the government telling us how to think. Imagine the chaos if we all thought something different to what the government wanted us to think.
What's with all the idiots like this one, making comments without even watching the full event. If you don't understand it, it doesn't mean it's not true.
Not sure why all the smoke was added for the landing…..what didn’t they want us to see 🤔
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The visible "smoke" is condensation vapor from the Roadster's cold-gas thrusters during its successful landing in the official Tesla reveal demo (not added to hide anything).

What can you say about government spending that makes sense.

The new Australia is coming thanks to @AlboMP
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you.
I come from your future.
In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream.
Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them.
The promise was protection. The result is stagnation.
The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe.
I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has.
Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France?
Trust me. You don’t want to be France.
Tesla’s Cybercab is now at Tesla Mt Gravatt in Queensland. Very cool. So odd to see a car with no steering wheel and no pedals. Just rock up and check it out.

Albo lies constantly but Aussies still believe him. Who are the idiots.
This wins tweet of the day if it isn’t a parody. Tax changes are law because @AlboMP and @JEChalmers and the rest of @AustralianLabor lied repeatedly during the 2022 election campaign on Negative Gearing and CGT, because they knew if they didn’t they would get rejected like their former leader @billshortenvcuc did. It’s law by deception and we will remember their con, come next election.

You really wonder who the smart people are these days. The people on government benefits or the people working. It's makes you wonder why you work.

Oh if only my old company did this. One of the reasons I brought my retirement forward was listening to useless drivel.
A Tesla employee once described what happens when Elon Musk walks out of a meeting. Mid sentence. While someone is still talking.
Elon has told his teams explicitly: "Walk out of a meeting or drop off a call as soon as it is obvious you aren't adding value. It is not rude to leave. It is rude to waste people's time."
The employee said the first time he saw it happen the room froze. A senior vice president was presenting a quarterly update and Elon simply stood up, nodded slightly, and left. No explanation. No "excuse me." The presentation continued but nobody was listening anymore. They were all processing what just happened.
Over time the employee said it became normal. People understood the rule. If Elon leaves it means one of two things: the meeting doesn't need him, or the meeting shouldn't exist. Both are useful signals. The meetings got shorter. The presentations got sharper. People stopped scheduling meetings to feel productive and started scheduling them only when a decision needed to be made.
He said the rule sounds brutal in theory but in practice it created the most efficient meeting culture he'd ever experienced. Nobody rambles when the CEO might stand up and leave. Nobody pads a presentation with filler when the audience includes someone who values his time in 5-minute increments.
Most companies worship the appearance of collaboration. Elon worships the elimination of wasted time. And the difference between the two is why Tesla moves faster than companies ten times its size. The discomfort of watching someone leave your meeting is smaller than the cost of keeping someone in a meeting they don't need to be in. Most leaders aren't willing to make others uncomfortable to save time. Elon considers it a moral obligation.
Why are Australian women not protesting this?
Due to the Australian sex discrimination commissioners interpretation of the law women are having to:
• Go to the high court to reestablish that we are still included in the legislation that was created specifically for us
• Lesbians have to go to a tribunal for a second time to reestablish that heterosexual men are not lesbians
• A woman is being dragged through a state tribunal for saying that men who claim to be women cannot breastfeed
• Women are losing both employment & volunteer positions for asserting the *fact* that men are not women
• A woman is appealing a $95,000 fine for using publicly available information to inform people that there are men in women’s sport
• Women are being threatened with punishment if they don’t compete with the men in sport
• School aged girls are not drinking water at school - or not attending at all for the week of their period - so they don’t have to use unisex bathrooms
• Women currently & formally in prison are revealing the sexual assaults they have experienced due to men who claim to be women locked in cells with them
The current *interpretation* of Australia’s sex discrimination act - accepted by the full federal court for reasons known only to them - is not creating less discrimination. In fact, it’s creating much more. Interestingly, it’s simultaneously proving that everyone knows exactly who the women & girls actually are, because we’re the ones being punished.
Gender ideology has failed and is being rejected in almost every other country it attempted to thrive within. It has brought down the careers of many politicians who didn’t have the metaphorical balls to acknowledge reality and fix the problem. To think that Australian is any different is as ignorant as it is insane.
This is not a “culture war”, @AlboMP. It’s a war on women & girls.
