Happy heavenly 70th Birthday Carrie Fisher! 🎂🕊️ Carrie Fisher became forever connected to Princess Leia Organa, giving Star Wars one of its most courageous, outspoken, and enduring heroes. Beginning as a rebel princess and eventually returning as General Leia, Fisher carried the character across generations of the franchise with the same strength, wit, and unmistakable personality. Beyond a galaxy far, far away, Fisher built a wonderfully varied screen career. She was Marie in When Harry Met Sally…, the mysterious woman pursuing Jake in The Blues Brothers, Carol Peterson in The ’Burbs, and later brought her distinctive voice and dry humor to Angela in Family Guy. Some of her memorable roles include: • Princess / General Leia Organa (Star Wars franchise) • Angela (Family Guy) • Marie (When Harry Met Sally…) • Mystery Woman (The Blues Brothers) • Carol Peterson (The ’Burbs) • Rosemary Howard (30 Rock) • Mia Norris (Catastrophe) • Bianca (Scream 3) • Mrs. Crenshaw (Sorority Row) • Lorna Karpf (Shampoo) • April (Hannah and Her Sisters) • Betsy Faye Sharon (Soapdish) • Janie (Drop Dead Fred) • Therapist (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) Leia became a cultural icon, but so much of what audiences loved about the character reflected Fisher herself — her intelligence, humor, honesty, and refusal to fade quietly into the background. Happy Birthday in Heaven, Carrie Fisher. Princess Leia will always belong among the stars, while your wit, strength, and unforgettable personality continue to make you deeply missed and lovingly remembered. 🌌✨
