As an author, find your place inside where the story is found, where nothing is impossible. And Write. The challenge is finding that place each time you write. - Wrtr #amwriting #author #writing
ALT You should write because you love the shape of stories and sentences and the creation of different words on a page. Writing comes from reading, and reading is the finest teacher of how to write. - Annie Proulx - Writing ~ Background shows a photo of a blue wilderness river with beautiful snowcapped mountains in the distance.
Africa is not a country! #AfricaStorytelling by Africans is important now, more than ever.
Here with @CcHUBCreative, having a conversation on #AmplifyingAfricanVoices
Enjoyed @Code4Africa's 5 day fact checking masterclass. @_MrMartins was the best. I learnt how to use tools like Invid, Hive AI Detector and social Auditor, how to detect fake accounts/websites and so much more. #training #journalism #factcheckfirst
(1/5) At the Journalism, Digital Tech and AI Dialogue Conference by @CJIDAfrica. The discussion on #AI and #journalism is one that journalists around the world are having and capitalizing on.
Multiple Journalism AI tools are to be unveiled here. ✨
(4/5) He also raised some important questions on the digitization of languages and the digital archiving of newspaper articles. There needs to be a standardisation of model training. @olorunwababs, CJID's Director of Programmes, led this rich panel.
(5/5) My notes: @StartArchiving is already working towards the digitisation of newspaper articles. Collaboration and more conversations about AI use is very important.

(1/2) Delighted to listen to an inspiring discussion on "AI and the Future of Journalism: Human Rights Reporting"! Amazing insights from @JWFoundation_'s panel feat. @kapur_ritu, @jeniferfenton, @emilybell and @tainalon.
(2/2)Ethics and bias remain crucial, but AI offers a powerful tool that journalists must learn to use and understand. Journalists still have to be at the heart of the story.
Wishing everyone a Happy World Press Freedom Day! 🌍✨ #WorldFreedomDay #AI #humanrights #journalism
(1/2)Engaged in an insightful conversation on "Migration: the missing link" with @SpringerNature and @UNSDSN. Exploring crucial aspects of migration and its impact. #Migration #Research #GlobalDialogue
(2/2) Fascinating perspective from @suyvonne; global north to global south migration is more prevalent than commonly perceived. Grateful for the opportunity to listen to this vital discourse. #Migration #Research #GlobalDialogue
My new story about @itz_EnnyOchayi, a documentary photographer who goes beyond just documenting stories.
Another day to listen. @precillieo knocked the ball out of the park. Thank you @SheCodeAfrica for this session on international opportunities! I learnt a lot.
My notes
✍️Be unique in your applications.
✍️Avoid ChatGPT like a plague.
@maegy_george's notes on soft skills also struck a cord. It makes a big difference when there is a large pool of applicants.
