Mesh-grids are moving faster than anything else in DARES. ⚡ Across First Electric, Sosai and Renewvia, 13,420 connections are signed and deployment is well underway, bringing reliable power to 60,000+ people. And with a strong pipeline still to come, we're only getting started.

For a barber, reliable power is the whole business. ✂️⚡ Musa ran his shop in Burum, Nigeria on a noisy generator: ₦3,000 a day, cutting out mid-haircut. With Okra, he spends ₦200 a day, his income has doubled, and he's got peace of mind. Power to the People. 🔋

Can impact pay for itself? 🌱 At our latest Field Day in Porto, Lukasz Urbaniak shared lessons from building social businesses in Nepal. Our biggest takeaway? You can't just drop in a product: you have to build the whole ecosystem around it. Exactly why we do Field Days. 💡

Last week our team visited the Amparo factory in Porto. 🦿 They build an innovative prosthetic socket for amputees, already reaching people in China, the UK, and even Gaza. As fellow hardware builders, seeing another product made end to end was special. Grateful to the team! ⚡

Deep in Kogi State, Nigeria, lies a village called Ojúwó Òbèlè, a village without light, water, or even a road. In partnership with Sosai Renewable Energies, we brought power here for the very first time with mesh-grids, designed around how people here actually live. 💡

What does it mean to experiment your way forward? 🔬 Tiago Gala, our Sr. Hardware Engineer, talks about how a culture of experimentation shapes the way we build. Because the best solutions aren't found by playing it safe. 🎥 Let us know if this one resonates!

What does a day in the life of a Repair Technician look like? Meet Jethro Edward. ⚡ Every device on his bench means a household without electricity, so he races a 48-hour turnaround to get families back to the power they depend on. Power to the People, one repair at a time. 💡

The REA team visited Burum, Nigeria last week for a hands-on look at mesh-grids in action, from productive use to AC lighting in every household. Even the rain couldn't stop the power. ⚡️ Proud to work alongside a team committed to understanding the future of energy access. 🟢

Happy Global Parents Day! 🌟 At Okra, we believe no one should have to choose between family and career, so we built a parental support policy designed for real life. Because supporting our people through every chapter is part of the mission too. 📷🌱

Obe-Nla is a coastal fishing village where traditional grid infrastructure was never an option — waterlogged land, saltwater corrosion, and a community too small for a mini-grid. Mesh-grids changed that. Lorgo, a local fisherman, called it a miracle. 🌊💡 Power to the People. ⚡

What does it take to bring power to a last-mile community? 2 days of travel & a river crossing. 🚗🛶 We journeyed to Obe-Nla, only reachable by river, via flight from Abuja, a 6-hour drive to Ondo & a river crossing at Igbo-Nla. The long journey is always worth it. 💡
