@OilerDadMike has some exciting news. After almost a year back in Edmonton on a undetermined basis. The Mrs. and I bought our Alberta Home! We're staying! We're closing soon on our permanent Alberta home just off the lake! Lac Ste. Anne here we come!👍

STUUUUUUU 🗣️
We have signed goaltender Stuart Skinner to a two-year contract
Find it amusing when the Oil win, or sign an expected good player, Stanley Cup parade planning starts . Lose a couple of games - tear it down, stop "wasting" McDavid. Few years ago it was the OBC ruining the team and analytics being ignored. Such a roller coaster.

One thing is for sure. We have a very passionate and knowledgeable fanbase. We have an awesome team that has generally plays an exciting brand of hockey. I've watched my team play in "9" Stanley Cup finals, winning 5 and losing 4, can't wait for 10 (and 6)! @EdmontonOilers
This seems like a good thing to me.👍😀
Jason Dickinson has the 2nd-highest percentage of TOI vs elite competition in the NHL among forwards. The Oilers can trust him to be the matchup centre, freeing up 97 & 29. This should help them immensely on home ice. #LetsGoOilers
absolutely love trade deadline frenzy! Love it! Feel for the players being talked about, but I’ve never made the league minimum $775k, so I’m a little less caring👀 it’s exciting! My issue though is I don’t really follow any other teams, Or Leagues, don’t know other players well

Another deal pending player waiver of his no-trade clause, here is the framework of what's been discussed:
To #LetsGoOilers:
C Jason Dickinson
another piece
To #Blackhawks:
F Andrew Mangiapane
Conditional pick
Just think Oiler fans, We get to witness 97 playing hockey all season long. The young man is extrodinary.
It's not the ending any of us wanted, but like Sidney Crosby, it's important to recognize how much Connor McDavid did for his country.
(H/t @NHL)
This would make total sense if it were to happen😉
@cmcdavid97 , you're awesome, please don't go to the dark side🫣

Mind blowing stat
Most points for an NHL player before turning 29:
#1. Wayne Gretzky: 1935
#2. Mario Lemieux: 1211
#3. Connor McDavid: 1162

Appropriate!
On the good news front.... Stu's save % is .333% higher tonight than on Monday!

It still shocks me how hard people jump off, then back on the bandwagon. It's one loss in game one of the series. Lace'em up and play better in game two. Except #97 - HE'S SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLE.
We can all breathe again #LetsGoOilers
The saddest part of today, isn’t the hiring of Stan Bowman. It’s simply the fact of all the people on here that have experienced the trauma of sexual abuse.
It’s heartbreaking and I’m truly sorry for anyone out there that has had to endure such pain.
To all the families displaced by wildfires recently! Please read!

Agree with the hire or not, this is a worthwhile read.
