April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Today, I attended @AllenCountyCSB's Community for Kids Luncheon to celebrate the incredible people in Allen County and across Ohio who are working every day to protect kids. They are truly changing lives! Our children are the most important thing for our communities and for our future. Our administration remains committed to making sure our most vulnerable children are safe and supported so they can reach their full potential.

We're continuing our support for local law enforcement's use of body-worn cameras. This week, @Ohio_OCJS awarded grant funding to help 21 agencies establish new camera programs. Overall, more than 400 agencies have received support from the Ohio Body-Worn Camera Grant Program since we established it in 2021. My executive budget proposes to continue this program in the next biennium. bit.ly/3FUMjQp

Ohio now has its first 10 accredited law enforcement agencies. We launched the Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Accreditation Program last year to recognize agencies that voluntarily meet or exceed state standards on topics like professional conduct, bias-free policing, crisis intervention, and community engagement.
