Defense x examined Samir Rao over the last 2 days of Carlos Watson trial focusing on his credibility. Atty Ron Sullivan’s opening line as he approached the stand “Mr. Rao, you’re a liar right?” He also questioned Rao on violating bail condition by contacting a former Ozy employee
Retired judge repping Ozy Shannon Frison’s cross on the second day further attempted to discredit Rao: “When did you decide to stop lying about your conduct at Ozy? … So you’re telling the jury you decided to stop when you talked to prosecutors?” Rao denied that.
