Ayo @CounterStrike when we will get a proper network update? Cuz I mean, it’s a pain in the ass see guys on smoke, start shooting and take 0 dmg or die to guys running full speed, one tapping with you stop and a reaction of 0.015s to actually counter that, even on the same ping.
You guys can spit numbers as you like..., but can't be true... every day we face the same kind of players with accounts with really low number of matches and high elo... every single day, at least 2 matches we get this. Plus, I was premium, but not any more @FACEIT_Darwin

Is there a Counter Strike developers striking going on ?
Last march every single Counter Strike player on earth was undeniably excited, since the leaks until the official posts from Valve, from the biggest pessimist with "is it going to be a graphics upgrade only", to the most optimistic with "we are getting new game modes, 128tick, new anti-cheat, there is a whole new world of possibilities, the player base wont be divided anymore".
Before, the most ironic part of it all being the sense of togetherness among everyone, i would dare to say 99.9% of the players were feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia that ended up with.
- people you knew from years ago who no longer played and were coming back to play
- people who didn't play as much anymore but were playing or willing to play more than they ever played before
- people who never played counter strike in their life were interested in playing
- we hit all-time peak of players
- and many other cases
Now after the release unironically everyone hates each other and.
We had valve developers showing frustration on social media about fixing performance issues and making bad jokes we hit the lowest average of players in 2023 (including before any CS2 leaks/announcements).
-we have people buying brand new pcs and experiencing performance issues
-we have people who say "when CSGO started it was way worse than CS2"
-we have people who say "when CSGO started Valve wasn't a multibillionaire company"
-we have people who say "this is not how game development work"
-we have people who say "Valve should learn from their mistakes"
-we have players who say "i love playing CS2 because its new"
-we have players who say "the game is filled with cheaters"
-we have players who say "i never faced a cheater"
-we have people who say "the game is not responsive"
-we have people who say "i keep dying behind a wall"
-we have people questioning how the transition was
-we have people who say bugs aren't being fixed
-we have people who say "we lost 400k players"
-we have people who say "we gained 30k players"
-we have people with their games crashing
-we have people who say "give them time"
-we had shroud saying "CS ends with CS2"
-we had pro players saying the game isn't good
- we have people who stopped playing
many more i won't be able to quote or pinpoint but all you have to do is open any social media and you can find them and no one agrees with anyone anymore.
We got the beta with a promising "subtick" that theoretically is better than the old tickrate (not yet), the ex-players/analysts/casters that tested the game in Seattle being vocal that Valve were developing it since 2020 and they wanted to make CS2 as close as possible to CSGO, everyone who got invited to the limited beta being told that if you experience bugs report to the developers, if there is something missing or broken, give your feedback to the developers (a lot of people did), everything "coming summer 2023".
A lot of bugs and months later they released the game with the only differences from the beta to full release being.
- now you have the Operation Broken Fang Premier mode with a random number as your rating (don't let anyone know they offered free rating to everyone a few updates later after the full release when you could get up to 9x the amount that you could lose, without mentioning the fact that if you lose your rating by inactivity you can get way more rating than you had before with a single win)
- now you have a Leaderboard which could motivate cheaters to be silly (VAC could cancel your match if a cheater is found, but only if VAC could detect any in first place, maybe people are just that good to kill others from spawn and you are bad)
- now you can open cases in CS2 (please finance the good work)
- you can inspect your grenades/bomb (hitboxes? lol just make necessary movements with your nades)
- you won't have a new operation either (can you imagine the amount of money they could have collected with one just by making players get 15 MP7 kills on DM)
- you won't be able to play Danger Zone even though they hinted about the DZ release on Twitter, by the way you also can't play Arms Race nor Flying Scoutsman
- you won't be allowed to play in 128 tickrate servers in third parties
- you thought you were getting a new case at least?
Who was the brilliant developer that thought someone needs to win 90 games, the average duration of MR12 matches is around 30 minutes, assuming you end up winning 50% of your games, you have to play 180 games (one hundred and eighty), just to get your rank in every map. and that is just assuming you win half of the games, can you imagine telling someone that they need to win 90 games just to get their ranks in the maps available to play? how crazy does that sound.
I could be wrong but i think CS2 was the only game who didn't get a Christmas update (PS: CS2 is still believe or not the most played game on Steam, even though it doesn't seem to get the treatment as such).
They cancelled the second major of 2023 so they could have time to focus on the new game, and now we are approximately 72 hours away from the qualifiers of the next major and we are in this limbo of uncertainty, exploits and disappointment.
TLDR: are the qualifiers for the most important event in the game going to be okay? is the most important event in the game going to be okay? it wont? is it fine as it is? is it going as planned? where did it all went wrong? isn't CS2 supposed to be better? is it really going to be better? is it better? how much time do they need? do they think its ready? what are they seeing? what am I not seeing? is there anybody here who can be reasonable and still see the light based on everything that happened in the past months, the only light I can see is the light in game because everything is brighter, also please don't let shroud be right (i only play CS, thats why).
