SNAP’s fraud rate is less than 2%. Whereas the pentagon hasn’t passed a single audit and can’t account for over $3 trillion dollars. But fuck the starving kids. Am I right
The Trump administration has awarded Palantir a no-bid contract to build an AI system intended to prevent "SNAP fraud," among other things. The no-bid contract is for the implementation of the National Farm Security Action Plan and includes "security checks" on SNAP applicants.

EXCLUSIVE: We uncovered a secret corporate scheme to raise grocery prices. We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items. The scary part? It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too. Our months-long investigation with @ConsumerReports and @Groundwork found it could cost families $1200/year.

Bragging that we’re paying banks, foreign countries, and other institutions a record amount of interest to service our national debt is not the flex you think it is.
U.S. Treasuries are having their best year since 2020, and the investors who had confidence and faith in President Trump’s economic policies have been richly rewarded. Never bet against @POTUS or America! 🇺🇸

Higher total returns in long-term treasuries come from lower long-term treasury rates (treasurydirect.gov/marketable-sec…), indicating that the market thinks the Fed will keep rates lower in the future. The Fed lowers rates during recessions (investopedia.com/ask/answers/10…), so higher long-term treasury prices are a recession indicator newyorkfed.org/medialibrary/m… grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5…

Using a device that still works is called "device hoarding" by the capitalists. These people are truly insane.
No CNBC, it’s not device hoarding it’s —MY PHONE STILL WORKS FINE AND I’M NOT GOING TO SPEND $1500 FOR A SLIGHTLY BETTER CAMERA AND AN AI FEATURE THAT I’LL EVENTUALLY DISABLE

The problem is not the poor kid who gets $6 a day in food stamps. The problem is the Walton family, worth $469 billion, & Jeff Bezos, worth $247 billion pay wages so low that their workers need food stamps. The real welfare queens are the billionaires who pay starvation wages.

This is some of the best political news I've seen in a very long time. There's a clear a way to end Citizens United by changing state incorporation laws - and now luminaries in both parties are forcing a vote on it in the 2026 election.

Back on April 2, Speaker Johnson swore in 2 House Republicans - during a pro forma session - who were elected the day before. Anyone who says Adelita Grijalva D-AZ can only be sworn in when the House is back and voting is completely bullshitting you.

In a speech before the @UN General Assembly today, President Trump said climate change is a “con job” and climate scientists are “stupid people” — and he called green energy and immigration a “double-tailed monster” that is destroying Europe. After traveling through Ethiopia and Guatemala, I find it ironic that those most concerned about immigrants and refugees are the least likely to take climate change seriously. As you’ll learn in this clip, there’s no denying that climate change is here — and by causing more hunger, more conflict, and more destabilization in the poorest countries, it actually drives migration. The solution? Climate-smart agriculture. To find out how you can help, go to ricksteves.com/hunger — and while you’re there, check out my one-hour public television special “Hunger & Hope: Lessons from Ethiopia and Guatemala,” streaming completely free and ad-free.

A conservative murdered a Democratic lawmaker -- and wounded another -- three months ago. Between 2013 and 2022, right-wingers committed the vast majority of political murders. If you actually care about political violence, you should not spread wild lies about it.
Replying to @shaunmmaguire
the left completely owns political violence right now. it's all them.
