The Accra High Court has ruled that there was no evidence to support claims that the brother of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Edward Akufo-Addo, popularly known as “Bompty,” used Ghana’s presidential jet for personal trips. The ruling brings to an end a long-standing defamation suit filed by Edward Akufo-Addo against Class Media Group, Mensah Thompson, Accra FM presenter Kwabena Bobie Ansah and Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku. The Volta North Regional Police Command has arrested 26-year-old Robert Akator over the alleged murder of a two-year-old boy at Wli-Afegame, a suburb of Hohoe. According to reports, the suspect was arrested on 15th October, 2026, following intelligence received by the Police. The child’s body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy, while Akator remains in Police custody assisting investigations and is expected to be arraigned before court.
