Thank you to OPD K9 Officer Keele and K9 Kano for their assistance! We requested a narcotics sniff during a traffic stop. We located and recovered a user-amount of methamphetamine with their help, keeping dangerous narcotics off our streets
Friendly reminder that under Nebraska Revised Statute 28-1202.04, anyone carrying a concealed handgun must immediately inform a peace officer or emergency services personnel that they are armed the moment official contact is made.
This includes if your handgun is wedged down between the driver's seat and center console. @BellevuePolice
Happy 4th of July! 🎆
We want everyone to have a blast celebrating today, but let's make sure it's for the right reasons. Our goal is to keep our streets safe and ensure the only lights you see tonight are the ones in the sky not the ones on our cruisers🚔🛑🚨@BellevuePolice
A driver who fled from officers during two traffic stops has been arrested. Following an investigation, with the help of Ofc. Pohevitz. Officer Kripal and I contacted the individual and requested his self-surrender. The driver complied and turned himself in 🚔⛓️@BellevuePolice
⭐☆☆☆☆ "Would not recommend."
A certain driver gave K9 Officer Gray a 1-star review today after his K9 partner Cheque sniffed out their "secret" stash. Apparently, our K9's customer service was "too thorough" @BellevuePolice
I arrested an individual this morning for DUI. Over 3x the legal limit before most people have even finished their first cup of coffee
Bellevue residents please avoid Washington Park while we deal with an individual experiencing a mental health crisis. @BellevuePolice
Huge thanks to our dispatchers for being the calm voice in the chaos. To celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, our shift brought in some pizzas to keep the center fueled. We couldn’t do our jobs without you! 🍕🚓 @BellevuePolice @SarpyCounty911
The on ramp to US-75 S. from Fairview Rd. is closed as we investigate a single vehicle rollover crash

Current conditions in Bellevue… 🌬️
Nebraska wind: 1
Everyone else: 0
If your trash cans, lawn chairs, or patio/grill covers go missing, they may already be in your neighbors yard.
If you don’t have to be out, stay in and let the wind do its thing.

This weekend we honored our incredible team. Congrats to Officer Monay, Officer of the Year, and Detective Jezek, Detective of the Year! Your dedication and hard work inspire us all. 👏 #CommunityStrong #LawEnforcementExcellence @CityofBellevue
This morning we saw how dangerous a momentary lapse can be when a driver struck a police vehicle; we are lucky the officers are okay. Be aware of your surroundings, anticipating hazards, and respecting the first responders working on the shoulder. @BellevuePolice
Westbound lanes shut down on Chandler Rd, South of Nebraska Dr. This accident was 100% preventable. If you’ve been drinking, call a ride. Drunk driving doesn't just put you at risk it puts every family on the road at risk. @BellevuePolice
We are currently out at 48th & Shannon Dr. working a single vehicle accident roll over, please avoid the area while we open the road back up.
We are currently out on a personal injury accident at Highway 370 & Golden Blvd. Avoid the area due to multiple lanes being closed .
