“Todos vamos a morir”. Esa fue una de las frases del último sermón del sacerdote Patricio Sánchez, minutos antes de morir aplastado por un Cristo de madera en Guayaquil. Estremecedor. Sus palabras, casi premonitorias, cuestionan el tiempo que perdemos en lo vano. 🙏

Dudes who try to make prison look fun like they're living their best life 😂😭
For all the native people chatter it was a necessity and the natives would have it no other way what we did was obviously brutal but they weren't innocent by any means my family had wife's and daughters kidnapped in an Indian raid
I went down yet another rabbit hole, y'all. 😉
About eight miles west of Newcastle, Texas on highway 380 you'll find the Proffitt Cemetery and, in that cemetery, you'll find the common grave shown here. I think "common grave" is one of the saddest phrases I think I know. The three boys buried here are all but forgotten now.
How did the three end up in this grave together?
The story goes all the way back to the summer of 1867, when they were tending cattle on Elm Creek, which at that time was way out on the edge of white settlement. They were Patrick Euell Proffitt, Rice Carlton, and Reuben Johnson. All three were teenagers, and all three were working cowboys on the Fitzpatrick Ranch.
On July 17, 1867, the three boys were branding cattle in the valley of Elm Creek. I'm not sure why they were out there by themselves, because the area had been the scene of a devastating Indian raid just three years prior. Perhaps they felt safe from attack: I read that there was a common belief among settlers that Indians wouldn't attack the same place twice. In any case, they let their horses graze freely and left their guns on their saddles.
Suddenly a Comanche war party road into view. The three boys ran for their guns and horses but weren't fast enough to reach them. The boys were shot down, scalped, and left where they fell. They were buried very near the place they were attacked, all three of them in the same grave. Their burial place became the site for other graves over time, become the cemetery for the town of Proffitt, which is a ghost town these days. The fact that the nearby town has the same name as that of one of the boys slain on that day is no accident: Robert Proffitt, the brother of Patrick Euell Proffitt, founded the town.
An observation: I can see that a tree, now cut down, grew over the graves of the three boys. In former times I would always find a tree growing directly over a grave to be upsetting, somehow, but no longer: rather, I see it as the cycle of life, the dead giving themselves over to the earth and to all that grows on it, as it always has and as it (hopefully) always will.

💥 They Don't Want You To Hear This H*tler Speech Because It Exposes The Matrix Of Control: 💥
"In these so-called "democratic" countries, the people as such are not taken into consideration at all.
The ONLY thing that counts is the existence of these few creators of democracy. In reality, MONEY RULES in these countries. They talk about press freedom when in fact all these newspapers have ONE OWNER, and the owner is, in any case, the sponsor. This press then shapes public opinion.
These political parties don't have any differences at all. Like before with us, you already know the old political parties. They were ALL THE SAME.
The struggle between the people and the hatred amongst them is being nurtured by very specific interested parties. It is a small, rootless, INTERNATIONAL CLIQUE that is turning the people against each other, that does not want them to have peace. 👥
They are the only ones who can be addressed as international elements, because they conduct their business everywhere. But the people cannot follow them."

Never forget: Ilhan Omar’s family didn’t flee Somalia as the oppressed. They fled because her father, Nur Omar Mohamed, was a senior colonel in the Somali National Army of the genocidal communist dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, the regime that systematically slaughtered up to 200,000 people, mostly Isaaq civilians, in one of the worst genocides in modern African history.
Her father wasn’t some low-level nobody or a teacher who just happened to be around. He was an esteemed senior officer who commanded a regiment, trained in the Soviet Union, and stayed in the military hierarchy of that brutal Marxist-Leninist dictatorship for years.
When the regime finally collapsed under the weight of its own mass murder, famine, and civil war in 1991, the family ran, not as victims of the dictatorship, but as people tied to the apparatus that had just spent years bombing cities, executing civilians, and turning northern Somalia into a killing field.
Now this same family is in the US, where Omar stands up and lectures Americans about justice, accountability, morality, and “genocide.” The hypocrisy is sickening. A daughter of a colonel from the regime that carried out the Isaaq genocide has the gall to moralize to the country that took her in after her father’s side lost power.
Her father came to the U.S. as a “refugee,” just like Yusuf Abdi Ali, who was accused of war crimes and later found liable for torture in a U.S. civil court. Yet, as far as publicly available information shows, her father never faced comparable scrutiny or accountability. Consider this: Ali was deported from the US only two years ago, after a survivor pursued justice through the courts. It took a survivor’s determination to bring his abuses before a judge and jury.
That’s the record.

A Farm Bureau president in Floydada, Texas put it to Nate Sheets this way: "Even if you can get us back to 20 cents of revenue, Monsanto's going to come in and raise the price of their seed, or John Deere's going to raise the price of their equipment back up to 19 cents, and they're just going to come in and sweep that."
Sheets runs Honey Rock Ranch, stocker cattle, and he built Nature Nate's Honey. He is running for Texas Agriculture Commissioner and won the March primary over the incumbent, Sid Miller.
His read on the cattle business: producers fight all year for the revenue side, and the input side takes what they win.
He told of a fifth generation rice farmer in Beaumont who sold his crop for 40 percent less than it cost him to make it, now carrying millions in debt on ground his family has worked for five generations, and who will be the last generation on it.
Texas lost 17,700 farms and ranches between 2017 and 2022, about 68 a week, per the USDA Census of Agriculture.
Two of the four packers that kill American fed cattle are Brazilian-owned: JBS USA and National Beef.
